Conversations with Dimitris Nezis

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dimitris Nezis.

Hi Dimitris, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Since I was a little child, I remember the only thing I wanted to do when I grew up was to be a singer.

Despite the difficulties I may have faced, I continued my music studies and then released my songs.

I’ve been active in the music industry for more than 12 years. I tried to mingle with people who were winners as singers, producers, writers, etc., and learned from them. There are so many traps and unfaithful people out there but you need to deal with this, learn, stand up, and keep going.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
In my way, I have struggled mostly financially because, as an independent artist I had to pay for everything. Also, as an indie, you need to take care of everything, and if you do more than one job at the same time, free time to promote or create, is too little to squeeze everything in, daily.

Of course, there are so many people out there who are willing to take advantage of your ambition, in many different ways and you need to think twice most of the time before doing anything.

I have been a singer and lyricist for more than 12 years and it is an advantage that I can, and have already done, sing in more than 3-4 languages!

This, as well as my style, and my performance abilities, differentiates me from the masses and makes me proud of the artist that I am. In addition to this, my ethos and every single song or collaboration, that I have released and written with my soul, makes me even more proud and happy for what I’ve accomplished, so far.

What matters most to you? Why?
To be happy, to enjoy life to the max, to create and share my passion and vision for life, through music, to the rest of the world!

Every single new fan for me, is a whole world! My goal is to show the world that if you love something, you can do it, no matter the obstacles you may face! Work hard, save your soul and personality, and stand strong against all odds.
