Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr. Dana Nettles. Them and their team share their story with us below:
Dr. Nettles Natural Beauty, LLC. has generations of health care providers and farmers living a minimalist lifestyle using nature to stay healthy. Our historical research and ability to use chemical-free, homegrown organic products allow us to deliver the utmost quality products.
From our southern home to yours, we provide only natural and organic products, free of gluten, parabens, harsh chemicals, and animal testing. I am a Doctor of Pharmacy and co-founder of our company. We have been providing healing herbs since 1933.
My dad is a physician and my Mom is a nurse. My husband is a Chemist and a Dentist and my daughter is a Doctor of Pharmacy also. As a family, we at Dr. Nettles Natural Beauty educate and provide healthy alternatives to chemical-ridden beauty products and protect the environment while using natural resources. We provide quality, time-tested organic products, and herbal homegrown teas. Our farm in southern Alabama has organic homegrown herbs that we grow and process for holistic healing.
As a child growing up with two parents in healthcare and also uncles that were herbal pharmacists it encouraged me to heal and help people feel better naturally. I watched my parent and uncles change people’s lives and make them healthy through holistic medicine. This made me want to continue their legacy of helping others. Our company is Commitment to Giving Dr. Nettles Natural Beauty was founded on service to others.
We love changing the narrative of health one person at a time to heal through food and herbs. Today, we produce several tea blends that are homegrown and we grow herbs to heal.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not been a smooth road because growing up we never used synthetic pharmaceuticals.
We were taught to heal from the earth and everything that you need to heal is provided. There is a lot of pushback on alternative medicine and some people think that it’s witchcraft, however, healing is natural and nature has all of the cures. We are not against traditional medicine because it definitely has a place but we want to educate about alternatives as well.
Farming and growing our herbs organically is sometimes a struggle because of the pests in southern Alabama, however, we just start again and reseed to get a healthier crop. We have everything that we need with sunshine, rain, and humidity to process many organic herbs.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a Doctor of Pharmacy, with a specialty in holistic medicine. I am so proud of the work we do with our farm and growing different herbs organically. I feel so blessed to have a plot of land to work the fields and also to process our herbs for teas. We are a unique company because we are doctors that grow medicinal herbs for health.
We have the scientific knowledge plus the farming experience to bring to market the healthiest herbal teas and medicine. We love what we do and feel so happy and honored to be blessed to give back to others for their health. Health is Wealth and that is what we believe in. – Co-Founder, Chief Executive Officer.

Risk-taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
Yes, we definitely take on risks.
Every year, we venture into new markets to promote our business and educate the masses about living a holistic lifestyle. Sometimes it’s a challenge trying to get into new markets and it costs lots of money and time but it’s worth it to make a difference in people’s lives.
The most risk is the money we put back into the company of trying new crops and the expense of possible loss of them. However, we keep trying new and innovative herbs for health so it’s worth it.
