Today we’d like to introduce you to Dyna Clark.

Hi Dyna, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I am a mother of two beautiful young ladies! When they were preparing to go off to college, I knew I needed something to keep me busy. Dew Butter Body was birthed in the midst of the pandemic. The name is a play on words. I wanted to do better… DEW Butter. My skin has always been extremely dry and lotion has never worked for me. I always used whipped shea butter to moisturize and I would buy it from a local guy who passed away. My wheels began to spin and I wanted to figure this out for myself.

I researched and experimented, researched and experimented, and researched and experimented some more until I finally came up with the perfect formula. My friends and family were the best guinea pigs and the feedback was gold.

I knew then that I had a winner!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s been a journey for sure. Some good, some bad. I try to take the bad and learn from it. One of my main struggles is trying to gain a Nashville customer base.

I am a Chicago native and more than 75% of my customer base is back home. I have been in the Nashville area for almost 8 years now and it definitely feels like home. While I have made some amazing connections here, winning the support of my new home base is a goal of mine for this new year.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I work in Revenue Cycle for a healthcare company here in Nashville. I review claims, and diagnosis codes and fight insurance companies all day for patients who are battling a terminal disease so they don’t have to. I have always had a heart for service so my daytime responsibilities are gratifying. However; DEW Butter is my baby! It keeps me creative, innovative, and inventive.

DEW Butter keeps me on my toes and it makes me so very proud. It was important for all of my products to be all-natural, with no chemicals, preservatives, or funny business. The butter and oils are made up of all-natural carrier oils that are extremely beneficial to the skin. These oils were selected because they moisturize the skin and they don’t clog your pores. Each whipped body butter has its own catchy “DEW” name. DEW Diligence, DEW Me Baby, E. BaDEW, and a few more.

Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the Covid-19 Crisis?
My cousin and I have a running joke…THE WORLD IS ON BACKORDER!!

Luckily, I have an online store. I had to quickly learn that more than one vendor is necessary as supply chain issues are still very much a thing. In the thick of the pandemic, I was not able to do pop-up shops or vendor shows of course, but I was able to still produce and ship orders to customers.
