Conversations with Jaime Spinner

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jaime Spinner.

Hi Jaime, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I was born and raised in Chicago, a city I love but whose winter winds I do not miss one bit! Even as a kid, I knew I was destined for California sunshine, and after high school, I packed up and headed west for college.

My career kicked off in the entertainment industry, working at MGM Studios. From there, I dove into PR and celebrity marketing, collaborating with some pretty big names at the time. I genuinely loved the industry’s pace and creativity, but music was the passion that kept tugging at my heart.

One day, driven by pure curiosity I started cold emailing managers and record labels. To my surprise it worked. I landed a job in Austin, Texas, having never been there before, I picked up and moved. That move became a pivotal chapter in my story.

Austin was where I sharpened my marketing chops in the music industry, and in 2014, the path led me to Nashville. There, I immersed myself in working with both major and independent artists. Eventually, my entrepreneurial spirit kicked in, and I launched my own company focused on helping independent artists with marketing and strategy.

This venture opened doors into the world of music events and festivals, which in turn inspired me to start another company alongside a fantastic friend and business partner. Together, we collaborated with venues and artists to craft unforgettable marketing experiences.

But as much as I loved the hustle, I started feeling the weight of burnout. By then, I’d also launched a travel company with my best friend and was dabbling in real estate on the side. Call me a serial entrepreneur.

So, I hit pause and chose to focus my energy where my heart truly lies. These days, I’m pouring my creativity into my travel company, where we curate group trips for adventurous souls eager to explore the world and build new friendships. At the same time, I’m harnessing my deep love for networking and relationships in the real estate world, helping clients find their dream spaces and investments.

Life has been a winding road but I wouldn’t have it any other way!

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
No, it definitely hasn’t but honestly, I thrive in chaos. I’ve always been the type of person who jumps headfirst into new adventures without looking back. I never thought twice about any of my moves because I was fueled by determination and an unshakable belief in myself, my dream, and what I wanted out of life.

I moved to cities where I barely knew a soul, and while that might terrify some people, it never really bothered me. Sure, there were days I’d miss my friends back home, and days when the music industry felt especially heavy on my soul.

But every bump in the road has shaped me into a stronger, wiser, and more resilient version of myself. I believe that’s the beauty of the journey, sometimes the detours end up being the best parts of the map.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
These days, I’m proudly wearing a few hats. I run a travel company with my best friend that curates group trips for people who want to see the world and make new friends along the way. We’ve taken people to places like Bali, Everest Base Camp and the summit of Kilimanjaro. Guiding people through adventures like that and watching them discover how strong and capable they really are is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do. It’s not just about visiting beautiful places but it’s about building a community of travelers who share unforgettable experiences together.

Alongside that, I work in real estate, where I get to channel my passion for relationships and networking into helping clients find spaces that truly fit their lives and dreams. Whether it’s a first home, an investment property, or a fresh start, I love being part of that journey.

What I’m most proud of is that I’ve never been afraid to reinvent myself or pivot when my heart called for it. I’ve built businesses from the ground up, worked with big artists and brands, and chased my passions across cities and industries.

I think what sets me apart is my willingness to dive in headfirst, even when the path isn’t clear and my ability to bring people together. Whether it’s a music festival, a group trip to Bali, or a real estate transaction, I’m all about creating meaningful connections and unforgettable experiences.

At the end of the day, I’m a connector, a creative, and, unapologetically, a serial entrepreneur who believes the best adventures are still ahead.

Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
Growing up, I was basically a ball of energy wrapped in curiosity. I was talkative and a social butterfly. I was fiercely independent, even as a kid. If I decided I wanted something, I was determined to figure out how to make it happen no matter how impossible it seemed. (Also an only child) And while I was social and loved being around people, I’ve always valued my freedom and the idea that life is one big adventure waiting to be explored. I guess you could say the seeds of being a serial entrepreneur were planted pretty early, I was the kid selling friendship bracelets outside our country club, plotting my next “business.”

Curiosity, creativity, and a touch of stubbornness that pretty much sums up little me.
