Conversations with Jarrod Barry

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jarrod Barry.

Hi Jarrod, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Hi! I’m Jarrod Barry and I love making music! I’m an award winning multi-genre recording artist. I’m 24 years old and I’ve been making music since I was in 3rd grade. It’s always been my dream to do this! I’ve released multiple bodies of work that have amassed millions of views and streams online. I’m currently in the studio working hard on my sophomore album. It’ll be everywhere July 4th! The first single “Happy” from the album is out everywhere now!

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
It has been everything but smooth. This dream is A TON of work and for an independent artist like myself, it’s A TON of trial and error too.

Patience, persistence, and determination are key. Developing thick skin is a must too. People are so cruel toward those going for what they want. Never let that bother you! Also, if it makes you happy then what more could you ask for? This question is basically what my new song “Happy” talks about. How things have been bad, but they always get better! You just have to stay focused! Smooth roads are never worth it.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Somethings about my work would that I’m most proud of the fact that I never gave up. I’m still on this road seeing it through! What sets me apart from the rest is my energy and sound. I go absolutely NUTS at shows and in the studio. Plus my sound is different because I switch it constantly.

I love switching genres completely and genre-bending. It keeps things interesting! Hahahaha.

At the moment I’m focused on my new album releasing everywhere July 4th! I’ve been in the studio cracking away at it with my engineer and fellow music artist @prodbykali. My latest single “Happy“ is out now. We’re working on getting the next single from the album, “Whiskey on Ice” out next to really get summer going!!
