Conversations with Jasmin Jackson

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jasmin Jackson.

Hi Jasmin, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I am Jasmin Jackson; I am an 18-year-old aspiring artist. I just graduated high school in May 2021 and I already knew my passions and what I wanted to do in life. I have been singing for as long as I can remember and starting writing my own songs when I was 14 years. I have been working and trying to break into the music scene for a while now. I am in the process of trying to create and release my own EP, I have been networking and connecting with very creative and talented artist in Nashville but is very difficult to get the right people that are passionate enough to create my vision and see my project through. I am a perfectionist with a highly creative mind and hopes to inspire artist with my story to keep going and stay passionate. To encourage the Nashville artist scene to stay open and welcoming.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Probably getting people to be passionate about your art and getting different creatives to see it through. People like to Gate keep and be very Flaky if the attention is not completely on them. It’s hard to get people to support in Nashville being a Nashville Local.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
What sets me apart from other artist is my soulful sound. People always told me I have an old soul. I have received the most feedback and encouragement on what I think is my best cover I have ever done and my most popular Try me- James brown. I have been told that my “tone is classic and transports you back in time!” That was the best compliment I have ever received because my main goal is to bring a sense of nostalgia, anemoia, and wholesomeness to people through my art.

Alright, so to wrap up, is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
I am always sharing my talents through my social media platforms. I post Every week on my YouTube Channel, TikTok, and My Instagram. I am continuing to write songs and visualize my goals and soon enough I will release my own EP, that’s my goal for 2022. So, stay tuned!
