Conversations with Jillian Guerin

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jillian Guerin.

Hi Jillian, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Eight years ago, I found myself with chronic health issues, unfulfilled in my job, stressed out, and unsure of my purpose + direction in life. My body was completely burnt out and at its limit. I was trying to heal from an autoimmune issue, hormonal imbalance, gut issues, and more, and I reached a point where I knew I had to take a break and focus on my health, or else I would continue into a downward spiral.

After saving up for a few months and majorly cutting expenses, I made the decision to quit my job to 100% focus on myself and reset. I’m someone who’s naturally quite risk-averse, so it was a scary decision, but I knew I had to trust my gut and take the leap to start moving my life in a different direction.

During that time, I focused completely on my mind + body, cleaned up my diet, worked on my mindset, and I, not surprisingly, started to feel better than I had in a long time. At the same time, I also came across the topic of feminine energy. Although I had no idea what it was, the more I learned about it, the more I realized how disconnected I was from my feminine side and how truly unhappy that made me.

Over time, my health issues slowly started to disappear, my autoimmune struggle eventually went away completely, and I started embracing more of my feminine energy + loving it. But even more important, I realized my passion for wellness, self-growth, feminine empowerment, and transformation.

I’m an avid researcher and investigator, so I had become quite knowledgeable on everything women’s wellness + self-development, and I knew in my gut I was meant to share that information with other women.

Several years later, I started a youtube channel to talk about those topics and, since then, I’ve grown a large following from women all over the world. I’ve found such passion, satisfaction, and joy in creating videos for my audience to enjoy, learn and grow from. I talk about a wide range of topics such as feminine energy, self-development, manifestation, wellness, relationships, and more, and I love that I get to make such a positive impact on people.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Starting a youtube channel when you have 0 subscribers and no one watching is hard. It definitely took some consistency and perseverance to push through in those earlier moments when I felt like I was making videos for no one.

But eventually, I slowly began to see my work start to pay off, and it really motivated me to keep going. I definitely did not make money right away, that’s for sure… but I also had a bigger purpose and passion behind it so the lack of financial compensation didn’t stop me.

It’s also a bit of a challenge learning to feel comfortable putting yourself on the internet! Sometimes the internet can be a scary place, but in those earlier days, I just had to learn to embrace who I was, share what I wanted to share, and trust that the right people would find me. And they did!

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m a full-time YouTuber and business owner who helps women to step into their power, tap into their divine feminine energy, and uplevel their lives. I’m basically like your loving big sister giving you the advice and knowledge you need!

I make weekly videos that discuss topics such as feminine energy, self-development, manifestation, wellness, relationships, and anything related to womanhood and living your best life.

I’m most proud of my dedication to helping others and serving the community.

Something that sets me apart is that I’m able to take complicated topics and make them easily digestible, understandable, and practical for daily life. When I was on my healing journey and trying to learn from others, sometimes I felt like people would say things that sounded impressive but didn’t actually mean anything, or I did know how to relate it to my everyday life. I want the women who watch my channel to be able to *actually* improve their lives from the knowledge I share, and I think I do a really good job at that.

We all have different ways of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
I define success as a feeling of fulfillment. It doesn’t matter how much money you make, what kind of car you drive, what job you work, or how good you look; if you’re not doing something with your life that you actually care about, then I don’t think you’ll feel very successful or happy.

These feelings of fulfillment will look different for everyone. For some, it will look like being a mother and raising children, being an artist and making the world a more beautiful place, or being a business owner that brings new ideas and efficiency to society. It can be anything. We’re all on our own path, and I think to find true fulfillment and success in our life, we need to follow our intuition and move in the direction our heart calls us to.
