Conversations with Jodi King

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jodi King.

Hi Jodi, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Hi! My name is Jodi. I’m one half of the band “Love & The Outcome.” I’ve been singing into my hairbrush since I was three, and now I get a real microphone and a life that allows me to tour with my handsome husband and two amazing kids. It started by selling everything we owned and living in our Jetta. We would travel across Canada, where we’re from selling CDs out of the trunk of our car! Dreams come with hard work.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth?
Every struggle you can imagine. There wasn’t a lot of money or growth for the first few years. Canada is a huge country to tour, especially in the winter months! It took a good while to build the story and the songs. I sang anywhere and everywhere people would have me! Said yes to pretty much every opportunity. Everyone wants the billboard, and not many people want to do the building.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
My husband and I are a “Love & The Outcome” band. We’re Canadians went, Nashville. We are signed to curb/word, which helps us release Christ-centered music, and we do our best to live that way. It doesn’t always go well, but we do our best to love God and others. Hence the name.

Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc.?
We love to keep a creative playlist and go to live shows regularly. So much to be inspired by here in Nashville!
