Conversations with KiAndre Kolb Kanv$$$

Today we’d like to introduce you to KiAndre Kolb Kanv$$$.

Hi KiAndre Kolb , so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Ive always had a connection to music. One of my first memories is spawning in at around 3 years old listening to DMX in the back of my Moms car. Since then I’ve never stopped listening and studying the genre and art form as a whole. I’ve been releasing music to the public since high school, and ever since then it’s been a steady rise in my growth from there. After I graduated I really put in the effort to release things and make a name for myself, and just sticking to my belief and love for music ive gotten very far, from
Doing shows, to magazine interviews, making albums with my group, video interviews, it’s been a journey that I wouldn’t change at all.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Of course the road isn’t smooth. This road isn’t meant for everyone. If you need validation from others, this isn’t for you. If you need to always have support and positivity from others, this isn’t for you. If you aren’t able to not eat, sleep, have a place to sleep, be broke, be depressed, or just be alone in your belief in yourself, then this might not be for you. A lot of trauma was involved in just wanting to be happy and if you aren’t able to handle adding more trauma to a probably already traumatic life, then this isn’t for you, and thats okay, take care of yourself.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I make music but I genuinely do a lot of other things. I like releasing music with another rhing to go with it, whether it be a book or a short film or videos, I want to create an artistic world that people can step into to escape what they have going on in the real world. Im mostly just known for releasing music though and hopefully that’s going to change soon with my next project. The project i am most proud of so far would have to be “The Third Eye Sessions” on all platforms, it’s an original album put together from scratch and it was the first one where every rhings was made by me and people who I personally knew, and not me jist making stuff to random people’s beats.

What was your favorite childhood memory?
This one is tough. I keep thinking back to a certain Christmas I had where my entire room was redone and my friends got to come over that day, wasn’t really abiut the gifts as much as it was about hanging with my friends.
