Conversations with Kingdom Come Worship

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kingdom Come Worship.

Hi Kingdom Come, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Kingdom Come Worship is a husband and wife duo with a deep passion for music and ministry. As local musicians and worship leaders, they have dedicated their lives to serving and sharing the gospel through song. Their debut single, “King of kings” is a bold anthem of Jesus Christ’s victory.

Scott and Abbey Kunkle are South Texas natives are musical missionaries, primarily helping in churches in both English and Spanish in cities across the Texas Triangle as well as in the Rio Grande Valley. Just coming off of a church tour in Mexico, they also plan to release a Spanish version of their latest song for international audiences. Their unique approach to ministry reflects their commitment to spreading hope, encouragement, and the message of Jesus Christ. Always eager to use their gifts to show God’s love, they are sharing their music on mission for the kingdom.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
As a couple, they have faced many of life’s challenges together, turning closer to God and each other in the process. Just a year after getting married, Abbey lost her father to cancer, and Scott’s mother passed during Covid while serving as a nurse at an immigration facility. After this, they took some time off leading weekly worship but have felt called to step in to serve wherever there was a need. More recently, God provided the opportunity to record their first single that has reached listeners in nearly 50 countries across the world.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Scott and Abbey bring a rich and diverse musical background—ranging from jazz to country and everything in between. But their true passion and calling is in worship music, using their gifts to draw people closer to the Lord. Abbey leads with powerful vocals, heartfelt lyrics, and memorable melodies, while Scott is a multi-talented musician, a Renaissance man, skilled in vocals, guitar, and drums. Together, they create music that’s both spirit-led and soul-stirring.

Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
You could say we are a very lucky family, but we’d prefer to say we’re blessed. God’s hand has lead every season of our lives, and we’ve done our best to be prepared for any opportunity he provides.
