Today we’d like to introduce you to Molly Biddle Redwine.
Hi Molly, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Define Beauty started as a dream — a concept rooted in the belief that the definition of beauty is you. Not a redefinition, not a makeover of who we are, but a declaration that you are the original version of yourself, and that is enough. I created Define Beauty to challenge the cultural standards that so often set us up to fail, and instead invite people to look inside and see that the definition of beauty is actually them.
This message is woven deeply into my own story — one shaped by questions of self-worth, image, and identity. What I’ve discovered (and continue to discover) is that when I see myself as my own definition of beauty, everything becomes lighter, more fun, and more grounded. It’s from there that I’m able to create a life that feels like a natural extension of who I am.
Define Beauty has grown into a lifestyle brand that shows up through beauty, style, mindset, and everyday joy. I host a podcast called Coffee Hang, share personal vlogs, and create styling videos that all circle back to this idea: you define who you are — and that’s the most beautiful thing about you.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has definitely not been a smooth road but it’s been worth it. I left my job as the Visual Merchandising Manager at Anthropologie in Franklin to pursue Define Beauty full-time. The original plan was to start with a bridal makeup business, because that’s where my love for beauty began. (During college, I did hair and makeup for weddings on the weekends and found a passion for brides and the way they saw their selves on their big day!)
I hit a roadblock I didn’t expect. Due to Tennessee state laws, I couldn’t legally operate a makeup business without a license. That felt like a huge blow to my dream BUT I knew I couldn’t let that setback define the path. Instead of going into financial debt or giving up on the vision altogether , I challenged myself to dream even bigger. That’s when I pivoted to launch Define Beauty as a lifestyle brand rooted in the same mission — to help people define themselves from the inside out. And I haven’t looked back.
I’m still in the early stages, but I’m motivated, aligned with my purpose, and committed to growing this brand into a brand that helps others feel seen, beautiful, and inspired — just as they are.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Define Beauty is a lifestyle brand built on the belief that beauty starts with how we see ourselves — and from there, it touches everything. Through content that spans beauty, style, mindset, and everyday life, I help people connect with the idea that they are the definition of beauty. It’s not something to chase or perform — it’s something to uncover and live from.
I create through several platforms: styling videos, vlogs, social media content, and my weekly podcast Coffee Hang, which feels like a Saturday morning coffee chat with your best friend — fun, thoughtful, and honest. Everything I share is centered around helping people feel more at home in their skin, more expressive in their style, and more confident in how they move through life.
I think what sets Define Beauty apart is the mix of real-life relatability and joyful inspiration. I’m not showing perfect, curated answers — I’m sharing a process, a mindset, and a perspective shift. I blend light-hearted humor with meaningful reflection, because I believe we can take ourselves less seriously and still deeply value who we are.
What I’m most proud of is hearing people say that they felt seen or encouraged by something I created. That, to me, is the whole point — not just to build a brand, but to build connection.
Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
If there’s one thing I’d love to leave your readers with, it’s the reminder that you can start exactly where you are — and define your own story. I started Define Beauty as a dream. No roadmap, no guarantees — just a deep desire to build something meaningful and honest. And I’ve poured myself into it fully.
It’s taken courage, consistency, and a whole lot of support from the people around me. But I’m doing it. And I truly believe you can too. Whether it’s launching a brand, changing your mindset, or choosing to see yourself differently — it all starts with one small step. One act of belief.
This world is better when we’re living from a place of purpose and following our dreams. That’s what it means to define beauty — not just in how we look, but in how we live.
