Conversations with Sage DeAngelis

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sage DeAngelis.

Hi Sage, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I never expected content creation to become such a big part of my life. What started as casually posting videos online slowly turned into a real creative outlet and eventually, a side hustle & business. At first, I was simply sharing moments from my everyday life, experimenting with trends, storytelling, and learning how to connect with people through short-form video. Over time, I realized I loved creating content that felt authentic and relatable rather than overly polished. I share about home renovation projects as a 25 yr old homeowner, fun drinks as someone who is coffee obsessed, my fitness and macro journey as someone who is engaged with a destination wedding in July.

As I continued posting consistently, brands began reaching out to collaborate with me on user-generated content (UGC). That opened the door to opportunities I never imagined: working with companies across beauty, lifestyle, tech, and wellness while helping them create content that genuinely resonates with audiences. What I enjoy most is showing people that you don’t need a huge following or professional background to get started — creativity and authenticity matter far more.

Along the way, I’ve balanced content creation with work, life, and personal growth, learning how to turn something I genuinely enjoy into an additional stream of income and a growing career path. Today, I continue creating content, building relationships with brands, and encouraging others who may be hesitant to start. My journey has been a reminder that sometimes the opportunities that change your life begin with simply trying something new.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely has not been a completely smooth road. Like a lot of people starting out in content creation, one of the biggest challenges was figuring things out without a clear roadmap. In the beginning, there were moments of self-doubt, comparing myself to others online, wondering if anyone would actually watch my content or if I was good enough to work with brands. Social media can also be unpredictable, and it takes consistency and patience to keep showing up even when growth feels slow. I still struggle with this today! But I choose to show up anyway.

Another challenge was learning how to balance everything. Content creation may look simple from the outside, but there is a lot that goes into it behind the scenes — filming, editing, communicating with brands, managing deadlines, and staying creative while also balancing everyday responsibilities. There were also times where opportunities fell through, videos underperformed, or I had to learn how to advocate for my value and negotiate fair pay.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I work as an HR professional. I have an MBA in business management.

Who else deserves credit in your story?
One person who deserves a tremendous amount of credit is my dad. From the very beginning, he has been one of my biggest supporters and steady sources of encouragement. Even before content creation became something serious for me, he always reminded me to believe in my abilities and pursue opportunities that genuinely excited me. Having someone in your corner who believes in you, especially during moments of uncertainty, makes a huge difference.

He has also been a great example of hard work, consistency, and perseverance — qualities that have shaped the way I approach both life and business. Whenever I faced challenges, doubts, or setbacks, he was the person reminding me to keep going and trust the process. Sometimes support is not about having all the answers, but simply having someone who listens, encourages you, and reminds you of how far you’ve come.

As my journey has grown, he has continued to celebrate every milestone with me, no matter how big or small. He is always willing to invest in me.
He believes in me more than I do at times. I truly do not think I would have had the confidence to pursue this path the way I have without his support behind the scenes.
