Samaria, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My name is Samaria Kay. I was born and raised in the lively city of Clarksville, Tennessee. My journey into acting and modeling has been nothing short of a beautiful blessing. Despite my initial uncertainties, I took a leap of faith and moved to Nashville in June of 2023 to chase my dreams.

Acting had always been a passion of mine, but I never imagined it could become a reality. It wasn’t until I stumbled upon an acting class that everything changed. Seizing the opportunity to audition for a featured role in the short film “Allison’s List,” I landed the part of Katie, a moment that affirmed my calling in the industry.

Under the guidance of Nashville Acting Studio and the representation of Tribe Talent Management, I’ve been able to further cultivate my skills and opportunities. From walking the runway at The Model Experience’s LA Fashion Week Festival to gracing the opening skit of Viral Comedian DJ Pryor’s comedy special “Daddy Issues,” every experience has shaped me into the performer I am today.

As I prepare to walk in The Model Experience’s upcoming New York and LA Fashion Week Festivals, I’m fueled by a passion for storytelling and a relentless drive to succeed. Each role and runway is a testament to my dedication and unwavering determination. I’m grateful for every opportunity and excited for the journey ahead.

Let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what challenges have you had to overcome?
No, it hasn’t been a completely smooth road.

Like many pursuing a career in the entertainment industry, I faced many challenges and setbacks. One of the biggest struggles was overcoming self-doubt and fear of failure. Initially, I wasn’t confident in my abilities as an actress and model, which made taking that initial leap into the industry quite daunting.

Financial constraints also posed a challenge, especially when it came to investing in acting classes, workshops, and headshots. Balancing auditions and gigs with other commitments, such as work and personal life, required careful time management and sacrifice.

Additionally, breaking into the industry itself was a hurdle. Competition is fierce, and rejection is inevitable. I had to develop resilience and perseverance to navigate through countless auditions and setbacks, always pushing forward despite the disappointments.

However, each obstacle I encountered only fueled my determination to succeed. With each setback, I grew stronger and more determined to prove myself. Through hard work, dedication, and a supportive network, I’ve overcome these challenges and continue pursuing my passion with unwavering determination.

I specialize in both acting and modeling, with a focus on bringing authenticity and depth to every role I undertake.

As an actress, I’m known for my ability to connect with characters on an emotional level, delivering nuanced performances that resonate with audiences. Whether portraying complex emotions or bringing humor to a scene, I strive to bring truth and vulnerability to my work.

In the modeling world, I pride myself on my versatility and adaptability. I approach each opportunity with professionalism and creativity, always striving to embody the vision of the photographer or designer.

What sets me apart from others is my unique blend of passion, perseverance, and authenticity. I’m not afraid to take risks and push boundaries in my craft, constantly seeking out new challenges and opportunities for growth. I believe in the power of storytelling to inspire and connect people, and I’m committed to using my platform to amplify diverse voices and perspectives.

One of my proudest accomplishments is landing the featured role of Katie in the short film “Allison’s List,” which was a turning point in my career. It was a validation of my talent and dedication and a reminder that with hard work and determination, anything is possible.

What were you like growing up?
Growing up, I was always a curious and creative soul.

I had a vivid imagination and a love for storytelling, often immersing myself in books, movies, and plays. From a young age, I was drawn to the world of performing arts, whether by putting on plays with friends or participating in school talent shows.

I was also quite outgoing and adventurous, always eager to try new things and explore different hobbies. I had a passion for dance, music, and visual arts, and I enjoyed expressing myself through various creative outlets.

Despite my outgoing nature, I also had a contemplative side, often spending time alone to reflect and daydream. I was introspective and empathetic, with a deep curiosity about the world and the people around me.

Overall, I was a well-rounded individual with a zest for life and a passion for creativity. My childhood interests and personality traits laid the foundation for my eventual pursuit of a career in acting and modeling, shaping me into the person I am today.
