Conversations with Shan Ojehomon

Today we’d like to introduce you to Shan Ojehomon. Them and their team share their story with us below:

Shan is a proud debt-free Nurse. Shan has been a Registered Nurse for the last 7 years with a variety of experiences ranging from staff nurse, traveling nurse, nurse manager, and nurse educator. She absolutely loves the world of nursing and has received both her bachelor’s and Masters of Nursing degrees Debt free.

In her spare time, she blogs to share her own story on how to save money on everyday things. The blog is entitled “Boujee on a Budget” with the IG handle Boujee_baabe. Also in her spare time, she mentors college students and enjoys spending time with her husband and two kids.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Obstacles and challenges that have been faced were becoming financially literate. Early on she was taught the importance of education but not really how to manage money just to avoid debt at all costs. Her financial literacy grew when she became married to her husband TJ Ojehomon who is a certified financial coach.
