Conversations with The Tabor Team

Today we’d like to introduce you to The Tabor Team.

Hello The Tabor Team, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Certainly! Our journey has been filled with twists and turns, but at its core, it’s a story of love and partnership. Our journey began in 2003 when I, Noelle, started my real estate career in Florida. During this time, I met Matthew, who had recently joined the same brokerage. We were friends initially, but unbeknownst to me, Matthew always hoped for something more.

Eventually, I realized that Matthew could be something extraordinary in my life. From that moment on, everything seemed to fall into place. We started dating, and just two weeks later, Matthew proposed. We said our vows and have been happily married for 15 years.

Over the years, we have discovered we are compatible in love and business. We worked together in real estate during our 20s, and as we ventured into our 30s, we used our real estate marketing knowledge to build a successful multi-site digital marketing company. Now, in our 40s, we’re back to where we started as The Tabor Team at Tyler York Real Estate Brokers. It’s beautiful how life has a way of leading us back to where we belong.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
No, our journey has not been a smooth road. Like many entrepreneurs, we have faced our fair share of challenges and obstacles. Building a successful business, whether in digital marketing or real estate, requires resilience, perseverance, and a willingness to learn from successes and failures. In our entrepreneurial pursuits, we’ve encountered both.

We’ve found that it’s often easy for others to see the final success and overlook the attempts that didn’t quite work out. We experienced 18 failures before we finally succeeded in digital marketing. These failures were valuable learning experiences that helped us refine our approach, develop new strategies, and ultimately find the path to success.

Along the way, we have learned several important lessons that have shaped our approach to business. I’ll share three of them.

1. Know your audience: Understanding your target audience and tailoring your products or services to their specific needs is crucial. Creating a product that feels personalized and valuable to your target audience can establish a strong connection and build lasting relationships.

2. Solve problems uniquely: Even if a problem has been solved before, there are often alternative ways to approach it. How can you do it differently? How can you do it specifically for the person you are targeting?

3. Effective marketing: This is all for naught if you can’t find a way to market to your intended audience. Can you connect with your intended audience? Can you do it on a scale that makes sense for your business model?

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Matthew and I take immense pride in being part of The Tabor Team at Tyler York Real Estate Brokers. Our collaboration with Tyler York epitomizes the principles of “know your audience” and “solve problems uniquely,” which are deeply embedded in the fabric of the brokerage.

First and foremost, Tyler York’s unwavering commitment to hyperspecialization perfectly aligns with the essence of “knowing your audience.” At Tyler York, every broker specializes in specific real estate niches or geographic areas. This approach ensures we understand our audience—the buyers and sellers we serve. Matthew and I have dedicated ourselves to specializing in Nolensville, a community we have called home for over 15 years. We know its dynamics, market trends, zoning, and the unique needs of its residents.

Regarding “solving problems uniquely,” credit goes to Tyler York’s managing broker, Charlie Peterson. Charlie exemplifies the spirit of innovative problem-solving. Rather than perceiving the real estate market as oversaturated with brokers and brokerages, Charlie saw it as an opportunity to redefine industry norms. His forward-thinking mindset has permeated the culture of our brokerage, fostering an environment that encourages creativity, collaboration, and a genuine commitment to people over profit. This philosophy deeply resonates with us.

Our relationship with Tyler York Real Estate Brokers allows us to put these principles into practice daily. We can take an entrepreneurial approach to real estate by combining our business and marketing experience with our knowledge of Nolensville to provide our clients with bespoke solutions.

So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?
Individuals can reach out or refer relationships to us to work, collaborate, or support us.

Reach out for collaboration: If you are a real estate professional, investor, or industry partner interested in collaborating with us, we welcome the opportunity to connect. Feel free to contact us through our website or direct message on Instagram.

Refer clients: One of the most significant ways to support us is by referring clients to us. If you know someone looking to buy or sell a property in the Nolensville area, please send them our way. We sincerely appreciate the trust and confidence placed in us by referrals.
