Today we’d like to introduce you to Yovana Olmedo Hernandez.

Hi Yovana, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Hi, I’m Yovana Olmedo Hernandez, im 32 years old, i love going to the gym, eating healthy, taking care of myself and my health, im a full time stay at home mom & wife, i have 5 wonderful children 1 girl & 4 boys! Lets go a few years back to tell you alil bit about myself, since i was a little girl i have always loved the camera my whole life i would say to my parents “im be a model and be on TV when i grow up”. I picked up from my father who loved recording & my mother who would love to take professional photography since she had us and now i do the same with my family yearly. Since i had my first daughter i would constantly always record her and take pictures of her and even after having the rest of my boys having all those memories now are priceless! After having my last babyboy in 8/23/22 my life changed & paused alot when they gave us the news at 6 months old that he had craniosynostosis (lamboid) and need surgery to reconstruct his skull for his brain to grow properly and not affect his life , his surgery procedure happened in 10/31/23 it was beyond the hardest thing i have ever had to go through in my whole life and the main person that helped me get through that difficult time was GOD and my now amazing husband Martin who was their always to make my days better when he knew i was deep down in a very difficult and hard depression stage, thankfully everything came out good our son recovered but when he turned 2 years old we got the news he was diagnosed with autism level 2, speech delay, anxiety separation, sensory disorder, my life got even harder because having a child on the spectrum is very life challenging specially multi tasking with the rest of my children, therapy after therapy until he got accepted in a ABA autism program that helped us so much with handling and learning alot about his condition and supporting us throughout the whole way. I always recorded and took bts of moments with him and my family to not miss anything with this new journey and life we were going through, ive always had an eye for capturing very special moments and having ideas on coordinating their birthdays and personalizing their newspaper for their photoshoots that i was always told by my friends & family “yovana you have to do something with the talent you have” i never did at the time cause my main priority was my son and my family but when 2026 i entered the year with so much faith and felt the year different from others, on new years my fiancé thought it was the perfect timing to finally get married and we got married through the civil this July 19th 2026 , i got the news early in march 2026 that my son would finally graduate ABA in august 2026 and my heart was full of joy knowing i did what was right and best for my son and god works wonders when we put him as our leader in our life, after i got the news about my son a few days later i just suddenly woke up and said “i need a change in my life i need to focus on me now to build the future of my children i need to show them that mom never quit and no matter how hard life got mom still saw the light at the end of the tunnel” and that’s when i decided to talked to my fiancé at the time and told him i want to do something with my life, i want to start my business in being a event content creator and i want your support, i want to do this myself for our children and for our future. he didn’t think twice and said “do it i believe in you and i know you will do amazing and i’m here for you and tell me what you need and ill buy it for you!”. Looking back at my life these past 4 years i realized life is so short and in a blink of an eye our life can change just like that and all we are left with is pictures and videos of all our loves. I took the risk at turning what i love the most and to start contenting creating to capture someone else’s special day & moments because i know how important it is to have those timeless raw clip memories and look at back them whenever we want! When I capture content i capture it with my heart i see what noone else may not see i want everyone to enjoy their day and allow me to capture their moments, i built my brand my small business putting it in gods hands cause he will guide me through the right path, That is how BEHIND THE MOMENT was created! I thank god everyday for my husband who has been my biggest supporter and for my friends, family & all my clients i have had in trusting me in capturing their special day and business events, the community of wonderful woman i have been around now who encourages me to always keep going and to remind me how strong and amazing mother i am.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Starting a business isn’t always 100% smooth their is good days bad days but is important to wake up everyday to keep going and keep showing up even on our hard days, negativity will always come in our minds or comments we receive but we need to turn that into positivity and look forward to always prepared for the future.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
•Im a content creator for all type of celebrations and events

•i also do personalized newspaper announcements for photoshoots or also personalized newspapers as invitations/guest for celebrations or events

•I can do content from weddings, quinceañeras (sweet 16), birthdays, babyshowers, wellness events, business events ect

•Im proud that even being a wife and a mom of 5 i still managed to work on my business and still take care of myself by going to the gym to be a healthy mom for my children who look up to me specially my daughter.

•I think what makes me different is strength, belief & discipline i have in taking negative comments or criticism and turn it into positivity , whenever i was told “i couldn’t do it” i always thought “watch me!” , i look at life differently ever since i got closer to god after my son condition, i know my life paused but i never quit nor believed it was to late for me i didn’t let depression and anxiety take over my life.
