Daily Inspiration: Meet Ashley Hendel

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashley Hendel.

Ashley, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
A year post quarantine, we saw a lot of local businesses, specifically restaurants, suffering. We wanted people to know they can still go out to eat safely to support them. The big guys weren’t hurt nearly as much as the little guys, so eating local is so important. When we eat local, we’re supporting parents and their kids. We’re supporting young adults trying to get by. We’re supporting our friends and neighbors. Our page kept gaining followers, so we kept posting and creating content. We love sharing our recipes, foodie finds and steering people towards places we love to eat!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It’s been fairly smooth as the page was created to bring awareness and support. Now that it’s grown, we’re trying to figure out where we want it to go. That’s been a tricky thing to think through.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Dustin is a network engineer for a cyber security company. He excels in streamlining, cost saving, building networks and being a leader within his team.

Ashley comes from a corporate event planning and design background. Now, she works within the home caring for their two young children.

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
Local businesses are the heart of Franklin and make it the wonderful, quaint city that it is.
