Daily Inspiration: Meet Bo Daddy Harris

Today we’d like to introduce you to Bo Daddy Harris.

Hi Bo, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
To be honest, just watching tv growing up and saying I want to be like this superstar one day. When growing older I pretty much had my eyes set on what I wanted to do. The songwriting was already there. The passion and drive was there. And there the voice came along and changed the whole scenario. I’ve always been a fan of all types of music but of course, country music and soul music have been my first love. Of course, listening to Southern Texas Rap. Mainly Z-Ro and Pimp C I Can List All Of The Rest Of The Artists Name By Name. So, you fit all that into one and you got me Bo Daddy Harris. Growing up in Louisville wasn’t always easy for talent doing things. I made things work as much as possible because that’s what you have to do to get somewhere. I stopped chasing the music career for a few years to pursue Comedy which after a couple years has become really good at it. Of course, frustration always kicks in when I was chasing it at the time. I always wanted more. I had a manager who was doing really well. Then eventually things started falling apart. Everyone was trying to get me to stop doing what I love and creating drama. I eventually went on my own and started going to other places out of state to perform where I haven’t performed before and I actually felt pretty great being around different people. And then after I decided to go back to work on my first love which was music. My heart told me hey “Bo, do what you want, be that person you looked at on tv back in the day you have a great singing voice you can do it all if you put the drive into” and that’s what I did I didn’t want people labeling me as one thing. So, I was more focused than ever. I have always had the business mindset to do things. I met one of my current collaborators at an open mic “Cabell Rhode” of course he was searching for something bigger. We’ve clicked and honestly, it took a while for things to get going because we were chasing our own too when we weren’t working together. We’ve got a lot accomplished. He helped me and I Helped Him. Went down to Nashville to have meetings and such with music industry folks learning how Nashville works. And learned from the experience we had. Right now, I’m chasing things returned to do limited comedy appearances, and music appearances more focused on this thing I call dream after making a lot of big accomplishments this year

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
