Today, we’d like to introduce you to Camill Perry.
Hi Camill, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
I’m Camill Perry, a self-taught baker. I started my baking career in November of 2017. My sorority sisters and I were gathering for a sleepover to celebrate our 5th year in our sorority. Each year, we would order a custom cake, but this year, I offered to make a cake for us to enjoy as we celebrated.
It’s so funny looking back on this day because my sisters were unsure if I could pull this off. What they did not know is that I worked at Maggie Moos while in high school and was in charge of decorating the ice cream cakes and other desserts. To their surprise, the cake turned out beautifully.
After posting the cake on social media (not looking to get custom cake orders), people began to reach out to me to make birthday cakes, baby shower cakes, and even wedding cakes. Before I knew it, I was running a local cottage bakery.
We all face challenges, but would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Up until September 2024, I was running my Bakery Business and working in Corporate America. After some major changes in my family dynamic, I made the very difficult decision to let my 9-5 go and run my home bakery full-time.
The decision to leave my comfort zone was a very difficult one because I loved the company I was working for. I do, however, believe that I am walking in my God-given purpose, so that makes me extremely content with my decision.

I’m a baker who specializes in custom cakes. Most of my cake orders are for birthday parties, baby showers, weddings, and other special occasions.
My cakes are not only pretty on the outside, but they also taste delicious. People are often taken aback by how amazing and butter my buttercream is. My buttercream is made with 100% real butter and lots of love!

Most people who know me from my brand would be surprised to know that I worked in the pharmaceutical while simultaneously running my bakery for the first five years of business.
