Daily Inspiration: Meet Carla Waldron

Today we’d like to introduce you to Carla Waldron.

Hi Carla, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
In 2017 I went through a big change in my life. I needed to look within myself to cope with what was happening in my life. I have always had a passion for health and wellness. I dove into health coaching. As I am slowly launching my Momentum Health Coaching business, I realized the creativity within me was lacking. I met up with an old friend, Nick Schroer, who was starting his carpentry business and quickly dove into remodeling and decorating houses. My creativity lit up and sparks started to fly! We started Noteworthy Properties in East Nashville. We bought our first property last February and it is a successful short-term rental unit. We are looking for a second property currently.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Smooth roads are hard to come by. There are always bumps and obstacles which is what make the journey interesting and worth the time. We are very positive upbeat people and our glass is always half full. There has been struggles with learning the rules and regulations. Struggles with financing and clientele. All and all nothing we could not overcome.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
At Noteworthy Properties, we are able to allow our creativity shine. My business partner, Nick Schroer makes stools and tables out of whisky barrels, he makes live edge coffee tables, shelves, and bars, and has perfected the craft of concrete countertops. I am creative with colors and out-of-the-box ideas to give to Nick to create.

At Momentum Health Coaching I am passionate to help people learn how to live a well life. Our society keeps us sick and wellness needs to be taught. I help people learn how to do that.

We’re always looking for the lessons that can be learned in any situation, including tragic ones like the Covid-19 crisis. Are there any lessons you’ve learned that you can share?
The biggest lesson I learned was how easy it is to keep people living in fear. Most of us are driven by fear and it keeps us unwilling to strive to better ourselves. Fear keeps people isolated and trapped. People need love! People need people.
