Today we’d like to introduce you to Cashville Licia
Hi Cashville, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I’m a mother of 6 i started off as a rap artist and i always wanted my own business so i wanted to start a clothing business that i knew would help me and other artist also any other shoppers in the city that just wanted to shop. I named my business Licias Head to boutique which u can find on Instagram and Facebook. I’m also working on online websites such as Shopify Amazon etc. I chose that name for my business because i literally enjoy transforming people from head to toe not mention i do hair for men women and children and also do make up . My boutique carrys clothes shoes and accessories for all ages including eyelashes and sunglasses. I started my business this year in March of 2024 so and i had a good run selling items like gallery dept. Which was my top seller essential 2pieces and more .So I’m here today because i want to push myself more as an artist and business owner so that my children will be able to carry these legacies on generation after generation.I truly do this for my kids and i definitely want to carry on generational wealth. My children have also came up with and started their own juice business called Rich kidz coolaid and they all have drink named after them pretty cool right . So there u have it they definitely inspire me to keep going shot out to my vendors Amazon being one of them let’s keep shooting for the stars my goal is to be working for myself in the next 3-5 years …
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
This road has not been easy because when u try run a business the main goal is to be able to invest in yourself and your crafts. There has been plenty of times where i didnt have the money to purchase my next batch of inventory because I had to pay bills . So yea that definitely was a struggle when I had to put my business on the back burner to survive everyday life
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
So right now as far as work outside of me being a artist and business owner I am a security guard for the state which pays me well which is how i am able to fund myself as a artist and support my business. I’m known mostly for being a artist in my city of Nashville so with that popularity i decided well i could sell clothes etc since everyone already knows me . I’m most proud of the business woman that I’ve become i also graduated in may 2024 from corner to corner with a business certificate i chose to take the course so that i could get more business minded and learn all the ins and outs of runny a successful business. What sets me apart from others is that i don’t know any other woman with 6 kids who is able to run a business be artist and be a mom all in one
Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
The most important lesson I’ve learned is to stand on business at all times no matter if it’s family friends etc. I had alot of hiccups starting off because family and friends didn’t want to pay full price for my merchandise so it caused a few fallouts etc
