Daily Inspiration: Meet Cyndi Galley

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cyndi Galley.

Hi Cyndi, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Where do I begin? I’ve been creative for as long as I can remember. As a little girl, I’d harmonize with the songs on the radio, and I started playing piano when I was six. Before long, I was carrying a camera around, trying to capture whatever caught my eye. I loved performing, reading and writing. In fifth and sixth grade, I was placed in an eighth-grade reading class. I also loved speaking in front of my classmates and found myself leading in all-things-ASB, from childhood through high school.

Writing stayed with me in college, though journalism didn’t feel like the right fit. Hard news wasn’t where I came alive. That happened years later, while I was working on my master’s degree at Oral Roberts University in Tulsa. My teachers began pointing out my ability to write, and I realized how much I loved it. Producing talk show, being on set and ministering God’s word also brought me such joy! Math, science and anything involving numbers or formulas? Those were a whole different story.

Media has always been in my heart, but ministry was growing in me, too. I loved pouring into high school students, young adults and college-age women—encouraging them not to settle for second best and to go after the dreams God had put in their hearts. That season led me into roles as an assistant pastor, a worship leader and eventually a worship pastor, serving in several churches.

But I felt most like myself when I was sharing the encouraging and exhorting messages in my heart—writing blogs and newsletters, speaking and preaching, and producing events that didn’t always fit the usual mold. That’s where ministry and media began to come together for me. I started envisioning real talk shows (not just for church events), television shows, movies and documentary dramas, along with live productions, fashion shows, conferences and books. The ideas kept coming, and they still do (I’ve got a long list of titles waiting for the content that’s spinning around in my mind).

Now, in 2026, I’m still a creative who has never fit neatly into one lane. For six years, I’ve hosted “A New Thing with Cyndi!,” a YouTube podcast where I get to have real conversations about faith, purpose and about the new thing God is doing in people’s lives. I’m still waiting for that Talk Show Host season of my life, but love podcasting and interviewing people, in hopes that our viewers will be impacted, knowing that God wants to do that new thing in their lives, as well! I’m also Editor-in-Chief of “Fashioned” and “Teen Fashioned”–two magazines I founded. We’ve been doing this for ten years, creating fashion and faith content that reminds young women they are fearfully and wonderfully made. “Teen Fashioned” has recently reached young ladies in Bulgaria through a Bulgarian edition. Our team flew out there last year for fashion events and ministry. We are now working on French translation for French-speaking nations. It’s wild, but we know we’re called to reach the nations!

I love to write. I literally feel like I could do it all day long. So far, that love has made its way into three books: “Don’t Be This Girl!,” which I co-authored with a dear friend of mine (if you love rom-coms, and have a horrible dating track record, this book is for you!); “A Tale of a Praying Princess,” a book for little girls; and my latest release, “Becoming Her: A 31-Day Devotional for Single Women.” As a single who has never married, I know what it’s like to have questions about your life and wonder what comes next as a single woman in today’s world. I want women to know their lives are happening now. This is your preparation season. Not waiting—becoming.

My ministry story has taken a few turns—from worship sets and church services to a docu-series about the lives of single women. I’ve served as a worship pastor and worship leader, and as a singles pastor at a megachurch in Orange County, California. Then God relocated me to Franklin, Tennessee, and called me to pastor single women around the world. That’s where my company, New Gal Global and ministry, “She is Single. She is Strong.,” comes in. We’re now working on a television docu-series. I’m excited to bring more of the real stories and conversations around single women’s lives to the screen.

Lately, my evenings have carried me from serving as Director of State Development for She Leads America, Chapter Director of Influence Women Nashville, and Director of Special Teams for Nehemiah Alliance. Nehemiah Alliance launched at the State Capitol in Nashville as a 52-day prayer initiative that culminates in Washington, D.C., on October 31. It’s been a full season, and there’s plenty more to each of those stories. I’ll save that for another time! The work looks different in each place, but I’m honored and humbled to be part of it all.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It has not been an easy road. That “starving artist” thing? It’s real. You can have the ideas, the vision, the support—and still need steady work to cover your monthly living expenses. I’ve dreamed about creating and producing at a much larger scale, but there have been seasons when I’ve had to spend my time doing work I’m good at, while knowing I’m not fully living in the work I feel called to do.

For me, the hardest question has been: When is it time to jump ship? When do you stop holding on to the steady thing and go after the dream you’ve carried for years? I’ve seen some artists take that leap and eventually find their footing. As a single woman of faith, I’ve found that decision complicated. I want to pursue what’s in my heart, but I also want to know I’m moving in God’s timing.

I know what it feels like to get that wrong. In 2005, I left full-time ministry too early to pursue my Hollywood dream of having a talk show. We had even produced a show on Hollywood Comcast. I moved ahead before the timing was right, and I ended up on a road I never intended to be on—in more ways than one. It became a rough three-year detour, followed by another three rugged years. I still carry the lessons from that season. I’m cautious now because I don’t want to step ahead of God again.

Knowing who to trust has been another part of this. Two of my TV show concepts were stolen from me—one in 2009 and the other in 2011. Both ended up on television. After that, I didn’t want to share a single idea for film or television with another soul. I do believe the time is getting closer when I’ll need a trusted literary agent or an entertainment lawyer. That may be part of my next steps, but I’ll need clarity about who to trust and when to move. Hindsight, I realized I never got God’s “green light” to share those two ideas. I paid the price for it, while someone else got paid for it.

So, I keep asking when it’s time to trust, let go and fully walk out the dream that have always been in my heart. The creativity is there. The support is there. But bringing the work to a larger scale takes funding, and pursuing that funding has been a struggle for me, too. I’m still working through what it looks like to keep believing for the dream, keep doing the work in front of me, and trust God with the timing, as well as on what pivoting looks like when up against a wall.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
If you ask me what I do, the answer depends a little on the time of day. 🙂 But in a nutshell, I create, assist and produce. In the evening, I might be hosting “A New Thing with Cyndi!,” working on an issue of “Teen Fashioned,” coaching, writing, or building something for single women. But the pieces aren’t random. I’ve always been drawn to stories—how we tell them, what they uncover, and how God meets us right in the middle of them. During the day-day, I am the Stories Director for a ministry called, “Jesus Disciple,” a free app in direct response to the great commission and call to “…go and make disciples,” believers can make disciples and disciple others from anywhere around the world through this beautiful free tool.

A big part of my personal work is bringing ministry and media into the same room. And I help other people get their ideas out of their heads and into the world. Through New Gal Global and She is Single. She is Strong., I pastor single women and remind them their lives are happening now. I’ve written “Becoming Her,” and “Don’t Be This Girl!” for that very reason, and we’re developing a TV docu-series to make space for more honest conversations about single women’s lives. I also coach and support others as a publisher, help people launch their podcasts, and produce media for other voices. I’ve even had the fun of freelancing as an Associate Producer for TBN’s “Better Together” for a few months.

I enjoy producing out-of-the-box ways to reach people, and fashion shows are one of them. We’ve come alongside churches and youth ministries to produce shows, and we’ve also assisted with productions for Glaudi Fashion and Michael Kors, to name a few. I love that fashion can open the door to a bigger conversation about identity, creativity and the way we see ourselves.

I’ve spent ten years building “Fashioned” and “Teen Fashioned.” As we reach that ten-year mark with “Fashioned,” we’re wrapping up that chapter so we can focus more directly on impacting and reaching young teens in response to the lies many are being fed today. That work matters to me. I want young women to know who they are and hear truth that can stand up to the noise around them. Because of the work I’ve done, it’s opened doors for me to speak nationally, as well as internationally. It’s brought me into beautiful rooms in the presence of high–profile leaders and delegates. It has been an honor to pray for each God has divinely connected me with, and to serve them for His glory.

In my late-night spare time, I serve She Leads America, Influence Women Nashville and Nehemiah Alliance.

What am I proud of? That I’ve kept creating, that my work has made room for other people to create and dream, and that I have stayed true to who I am! I don’t see ministry and media as separate parts of my life. I can write a devotional, help someone launch a podcast, produce a fashion show, talk with a woman about what God is doing in her life and equip women called to lead and impact their state for God’s kingdom. To me, those all belong in the same conversation.

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
Vision. Flexibility. Joy. Tenacity. An open mind. A willing spirit. A servant’s heart. Faith in what God has shown and what He has said. Prayer and some staple practicals.

The greatest of these is the Lord. His timing, His direction, strategy and His hand on the things He’s called me to do—that’s what I come back to. He’s the best strategist of all. I’ve had some pretty amazing experiences, opportunities, open doors, and favor. I know they could only have come from and through Him.

Joshua 1:3–7 has stayed with me. God was sending Joshua to lead the people into the land He had promised—a land with real challenges already in it. And right there, God reminded him: I will be with you. Be strong and courageous.

“I will give you every place where you set your foot, as I promised Moses. Your territory will extend from the desert to Lebanon, and from the great river, the Euphrates—all the Hittite country—to the Mediterranean Sea in the west. No one will be able to stand against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you. Be strong and courageous, because you will lead these people to inherit the land I swore to their ancestors to give them. Be strong and very courageous.” —Joshua 1:3–7 (NIV)

That passage speaks to me because it holds both parts: I have to wait for God’s direction, and when it’s time to move, I have to move with strength and courage. I don’t need to have every detail figured out. I need to trust the One who called me and take the next step He puts in front of me. And to that, the next thing is prayer. We can’t do anything apart from Him and the only way we know what steps to take and to help bring it to pass, is through prayer. Through prayer, everything else I shared on initially, will come as you seek and go after it. The vision will come through prayer. Wisdom on how (and when) to pivot comes through prayer. Prayer is of the essence and is more than just a one-and-done. I keep coming back to the Author and Finisher of my faith. He is the only One who knows His plans for me, and so why would I go looking or asking anywhere else? He’s first. The rest will ultimately follow in His time, so don’t rush it. Wait on the Lord and see what marvelous things He’ll do in and through you!

And then of course, when it comes to pushing through, I need my people around me—a safe circle who knows me, loves me, and can tell me the truth. I’ve also had to learn what deserves a yes and what needs a no. And music has to be in the mix. Every day. My playlist is a time machine with a passport—worship in its heart, “oldies”and old-school romance in its step, with Gospel, R&B, salsa and country in its hips. When the song hits right, I’m dancing, completely unbothered that I’m the only one there. Waiting on God, having my people in my corner, making clear boundaries—and a great soundtrack. These, too, are essential to my success!
