Today we’d like to introduce you to Daniel Aycock.
Hi Daniel, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I moved to Nashville 6 years ago for school and have stayed and been making a living doing music full time.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Building relationships is key and everything hasn’t gone as planned, I’ve learned to not have expectations and to put your best foot forward and be grateful for every opportunity.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a guitarist and bassist and have picked up pedal steel as well. I do everything from Broadway to going on tours as a sideman. I have found that being a multi instrumentalist helps artists to have a guy they can call to cover several bases and it helps me to work more.
Do you have any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
My favorite childhood memory was saving up $20 which seemed like a lot at the time, and going and buying a first act guitar, my first instrument.
