Daily Inspiration: Meet Danielle Johnson

Today we’d like to introduce you to Danielle Johnson.

Hi Danielle, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
Growing up, music was everywhere. I remember singing in the car with my parents in the car all the time. I grew up on the legends, Dolly, Reba, Shania, the Beatles, Eagles, and so many more. Music was constantly around me and I never knew how impactful that would soon turn out to be. It was a blessing. I’ve been so fortunate to know at such a young age what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. My music teacher discovered my God-given talent in third grade. I remember the first time singing on stage I thought to myself, “This is who I am. This is home. This is my passion and nothing could ever compare to this feeling.”

At the age of twelve, I was cast as Annie Who in The Broadway Equity Production of How The Grinch Stole Christmas at Madison Square Garden in NYC and at the Wang Theatre in Boston, MA. That was the most surreal experience! I started writing music at the age of fifteen traveling to GA, New York City, and Nashville. I was going to Nashville every month to write and record demos. From the moment I started writing, I knew that the craft of songwriting was so special and such a singular and therapeutic gift. Writing down your emotions, your stories, and your life into a song and having your words resonate with others is an incredible feeling.

I started playing guitar and piano at the age of fifteen. I started playing shows, writing, and recording in Nashville, TN because I knew country music was my one and only passion. I started singing the National Anthem at many NASCAR Races at Charlotte Motor Speedway including the Coca-Cola 600 and the Bank of America 500. I released my first EP When in 2018 with five original songs. I have been playing shows and currently working on new music! I am so excited about what’s to come!

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
There are always going to struggle in any profession. Learning patience has been the biggest lesson in the music industry and also in life in general!

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
