Daily Inspiration: Meet Danielle Rogers

Today we’d like to introduce you to Danielle Rogers.

Danielle, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My company is rooted in over 35 years of legacy as I decided to inherit my uncle’s wedding business in 2012. My uncle, Mr. Mike Leigh started Weddings Unlimited in 1986 in Brownsville, TN and after his passing, in 2012, I became the owner, wedding planner, florist, and coordinator for Weddings Unlimited by Danielle here in Nashville, TN. My love, passion, and purpose for wedding planning and designing begin after planning my own wedding (home business) and skyrocketed to have now planned over 70 weddings and special occasions such as birthday parties, anniversaries, baby showers, etc; in Greater Nashville, Memphis, Jackson, St. Louis.

As a naturally talented planner and self-taught florist, I attracted my clients and retrieved constant referrals by ensuring my clients have a stress-free planning experience, delivering elegant and detailed 3D floor plans and mock-up designs, maintaining a connection to exclusive vendors in Nashville, and providing access to our unlimited showroom inventory.

Our main priority is to be the one-stop shop for all things bridal and grand events; and where all services are done in-house. We specialize in providing unlimited services such as Day of Coordinating, Partial and Total Planning, handmade printing services, intrigue linen options, luxury flower centerpieces and designs, beautiful ceremony arches, backdrops, and luxury party rentals.

Over the years, I have been blessed with a team of Associate Planners, Coordinators, and Day of Design Assistants who assists in making each wedding and event unforgettable. Currently, we host all consultations and meetings in our design studio in South Nashville. Hopefully the first of 2022, we will be opening our brand new design studio and event space.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Of course, along the way, I have had difficult clients, but normal growing pains. From delivering equipment in my personal car to now owning a company equipment van, and working from home to now opening my own design studio for the last five years. I consider my business journey to be truly blessed.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I graduated from THEE Tennessee State University with a degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration. I also work as a Human Resource Professional (last four and a half years) at Mount Zion Baptist Church in Nashville, TN. I have been happily married for nine years to Trenton Rogers and have lived in Nashville for over 12 years.

What sets me apart from other people in the industry is having extreme ambition, go-getter personality, and honestly, the word “No” is never an option. There is always possibility and opportunity. My higher-level attention to detail and deeper connection with my clients, and creativity also set me apart.

Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
I have always surrounded myself with like-minded individuals, learning new skills, and expanding especially with mentors at my church, Mount Zion Baptist Church, and closest family. Networking has also been a must for me especially assisting the growth of black-owned businesses and women-owned businesses.
