Daily Inspiration: Meet Dr. Carlee Brockman

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr. Carlee Brockman

Hi Dr. Carlee, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I was introduced to the world of Chiropractic care as a young person who nannied for chiropractors! When caring for their children, I couldn’t help but observe their routines and rhythms, and I truly fell in love with their lives! They had a healthy, balanced life, impact and influence in their community, and flexibility to be present for their families. In high school, I worked in their office a little bit and noticed that they work they did reflected their values of natural healing, wholeness, good nutrition, life balance, and the body’s ability to heal and operate in alignment.

My eyes were opened to the idea that my “job” could reflect the beliefs I had grown up with, and I could see people become more healthy and whole. Through my education and experience as a doctor, those early observations have held true: when you give your life to something you deeply believe in, you will live in balance!

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Treating patients is such an honor and joy! The harder part of the road has been the business-building aspect. Chiropractic school teaches you how to be a chiropractor, not how to establish, grow, and run a clinic and a team. I had to learn insurance, HR, systems-building, financial planning, and so many hundreds of little nuances and skills that all go into running a business as a doctor and practice owner.

It was a rewarding effort, and I am definitely more well-rounded and knowledgable because of that time, but it took a great deal of hard work, long hours, self-education, and personal financial investment. You don’t know what you don’t know, so ask for help, build good systems, hire great people, and work hard.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
