Daily Inspiration: Meet Earin And Ke’Anna Rose

Today we’d like to introduce you to Earin And Ke’Anna Rose.

Earin and Ke’Anna, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
We started 615 Soul Line Dance in 2022 with a simple idea that grew out of gatherings we were already hosting through a small starter LLC. Those early events showed us something important. Soul line dance was bigger than a party. It was culture, connection, and a way to bring people together across groups that did not always share the same space. From the beginning, our vision was to build an inclusive collective that could unite the Nashville soul line dance community.
At the start of 2023, we became intentional about building awareness around that vision. Our values were not just a slogan; they were the foundation. We began as R&R, offering free classes and inviting anyone who wanted to move, learn, and grow. We hosted monthly socials and created volunteer opportunities so the community itself could help spread the word about what 615 Soul Line Dance stood for.
Our focus has always been growth, health, and fellowship. Soul line dance gets people moving, but it also builds community. It creates spaces where people can take care of their bodies, reset mentally, and connect with others through music and movement.
Today, 615 Soul Line Dance has six instructors offering free classes across Metro Nashville Monday through Thursday.
As we have grown, our programs have grown with us. We recently launched our instructor training program, Get In L.I.N.E., which focuses on Leadership, Instruction, Networking, and Empowerment. It is designed to prepare the next generation of instructors to lead with purpose and continue expanding the culture of soul line dance.
We also host The RESET, a seasonal wellness brunch that centers health, conversation, and community. Our signature event, NashVegas Nights, brings hundreds of attendees from the national soul line dance community to Nashville for several days of workshops, music, and fellowship.
Our newest program, Beyond 615 Soul | Wellness Abroad, takes that same commitment to wellness and connection beyond the city through an international retreat experience.
At its core, 615 Soul Line Dance is about commitment to the community. Commitment to movement, to health, to fellowship, and to making sure soul line dance continues to grow in a way that keeps people connected and included.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
One of the biggest challenges we have faced has been bringing people together under a shared vision while still honoring the individuality that already exists in the soul line dance community. Nashville has talented groups and instructors who have built their own styles and followings. Our goal has never been to replace that. Instead, we have worked to show that there is room for a collective approach where groups can keep their identity and brand while still supporting one another under one umbrella. Creating that kind of culture takes time, trust, and a lot of conversations. We have had to lead by example and consistently show that inclusion means everyone has a seat at the table.
Funding is another challenge, like it is for many nonprofits. Much of what we do is community driven, including offering free classes across Metro Nashville. That means we are always thinking creatively about how to sustain the work while keeping it accessible. Whether through partnerships, events, or community support, we are constantly navigating ways to keep the programs moving forward without losing sight of the mission.
Awareness is also an ongoing effort. Soul line dance is often reduced to viral moments or quick social media clips, but there is real artistry and cultural history behind it. We want the public to see the depth of it. This is a form of movement that builds skill, musicality, and connection. It is also a space where people grow.
Over time, we have watched people walk into class unsure of themselves and slowly become dancers. We have seen confidence build and self discovery take place, especially for women who are stepping into this space in the later chapters of their lives. Watching someone realize their strength, their rhythm, and their voice in the room is powerful.
That is part of why The RESET is such an important piece of our programming. It gives our community a moment to slow down, reflect, and focus on wellness beyond the dance floor. Movement, conversation, and fellowship all come together in a way that reminds people that this community is not just about learning steps. It is about creating space where people can show up fully, grow, and feel supported in who they are becoming.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
615 Soul Line Dance is a Nashville based nonprofit that brings people together through soul line dancing to promote heart health, mental wellness, and fellowship. We create community through movement across Metro Nashville, giving people space to stay active, build confidence, and feel connected in an environment that is welcoming and real. We understand the community we serve because we are a part of it, and we are grateful for how it continues to show up, support, and grow with us.
Because of that support, what we are most proud of is the growth we see in people. We have watched individuals walk in unsure and leave confident. We have seen people rediscover themselves through dance, and that kind of impact means everything to us.
That same understanding of our community shapes what sets us apart. We approach this work through inclusion and collaboration. We believe people should be able to show up as themselves. Different instructors, styles, and groups can exist under one collective while still holding onto their individuality. We also prioritize free spaces like our classes and The RESET because we know access matters.
Everything we do is grounded in our values of commitment, collaboration, respect, inclusiveness, and transparency. Those values guide how we lead, how we teach, and how we continue to build with and for our community.

What were you like growing up?
Our story really started long before 615 Soul Line Dance ever had a name. Movement, community, and culture were already part of who we were growing up.
For me, Ke’Anna, dance has always been a part of my life. Whether it was cheer, drill team, or African dance, I have always loved to move. Movement has always been a way for me to express joy, discipline, and connection. I was also a Girl Scout and someone who stayed curious about the world. I have always loved learning about new things and experiencing different cultures. Being part of programs like Big Brothers Big Sisters helped shape my belief in mentorship, service, and showing up for others in the community.
For me, Earin, movement also played a big role in my life. Growing up, I spent a lot of time playing basketball in grade school, which taught me rhythm, teamwork, and discipline. Music was also a big part of my upbringing. My mother and grandmother were singers, so creativity and expression were always around me. At the same time, I developed a strong interest in business. As an accountant with a passion for process excellence, I have always enjoyed finding ways to build systems that work better for people. Alongside that has always been a deep commitment to community.
When we came together, it felt like the pieces were already there. Movement, culture, organization, and community were things we both valued. Soul line dance became the space where all of that could come together in a meaningful way. Since then, we have not stopped thinking about ways to strengthen our community, create opportunities for others, and spark people’s love for soul line dance.
The values we lead with today come directly from how we were raised and the experiences that shaped us. We are incredibly grateful for the mentors, supporters, and community members who have been part of this journey. None of this happens alone. Together, we have helped build something that we truly believe is special, and we are excited to continue growing it with the community.
