Today we’d like to introduce you to Gabriela Rodrigues.
Hi Gabriela, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
Since I was a little girl, I heard about my family and me going to the USA. As an innocent girl, I couldn’t imagine how important this would be to my future. I couldn’t stop imagining and dreaming every single thing about this perfect dream of going to a new country. Years later, even though I lived in my country, everybody around me noticed that I was born to go beyond, and I didn’t belong to Brazil anymore. Still, finally, the big day came when I had the opportunity to go and live my American dream. When I was 21, my family and I left our comfort zone to start a new, better life. Each of us had a different life expectancy and completely different dreams. When I mentioned “my dream” earlier, it became completely different from what I had imagined. It is different from what that little girl from Brazil dreamed about. I began to learn the English language through songs, but when I came to America, I realized that It was not enough practice to hold a full fluent conversation in English! Imagine this. Haha, it’s scary! I quickly realized that I had to learn Spanish to grow professionally, and learning another language besides English (which I still didn’t know then) made me feel terrified. I learned Spanish. After all, it is similar to Portuguese, right? See, everyone thinks that learning Spanish would be easy because Portuguese is a similar language to Spanish, but It’s not! 😅
But yes, I managed to learn Spanish, and now I have dedicated more to English, which has been my biggest challenge yet! Now I can hold a conversation and occasionally mix everything up, but I make it work! 🙃
After that, I went through a few arduous days; I was challenged to work in sales. I had zero knowledge about sales, but my desire to make a difference was greater than my challenge. I always liked to do my best before saying that I couldn’t do it or did not mean something to me. You have to be a hard worker. I conquered my life in Brazil and, based on faith and willpower, conquer my life now in the United States.
The big opportunity I faced was in 2019, which was to sell lingeries made in Brazil! At first, that sounded like a good plan, but how was I supposed to do it?
When I was 24, I was going through the hardest time of my entire life. I thought, “I studied radiology in Brazil. I don’t know how to manage and run a successful lingerie business.” I started to go online and search everything about the path of sales. And how to deal with that in the best way. I met some new entrepreneurs, and my sales were increasing amazingly! Everything about my business, whether I’m searching for a picture, sourcing better products, or getting to know my target audience better, every little detail about my job fascinates me! I could feel my dreams again, and that feeling has no price!
Shortly after, I went through another terrible time of personal crisis that, unfortunately, stopped me. I completely gave up on everything during that time. My family was devastated because they saw the best of me while running my business, but my family also respected my decisions. I think they knew deep down that One day. I would re-write my story. Their support meant everything to me at that moment, and I am very grateful for them and always will be.
3 years later, in 2022, I’m 27 now, and I’ve decided that what happened to me in the past doesn’t defy who I am or where I can go and what I can conquer. I’ve decided not to stop or give up on my dreams; I will fight for what makes me feel alive and proud of myself.
With my Italian origin from my great-grandparents, my beautiful story continues. With new management, I created my new lingerie brand: Gazani Intimate. My inspiration for the Gazani Intimate name came from mixing up my Italian family’s last name and my name Gabriela.
In February of 2022, I reopened my lingerie business and challenged myself with improvements. I put all 100% effort into my business; my soul is truly happy to offer my products with so much love.
Gazani intimate is comprised of me and my family’s love because of our unconditional support, positivity, and encouragement. I envision every photo shoot and detail before they are developed with our target customer’s desire.
Our stock includes a variety of lingerie sets such as babydoll lingerie, robes, nightwear, and panties. Gazani is comprised of love, and I know this love has already started reaching many people. ♥️
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a smooth road?
It is not a smooth road, especially difficult while I’m running another full business time which provides my main salary.

What I’m most proud of with my lingerie business is our quality of products. We are 100% Brazilian-made, which makes us the best.
Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
I’ve always been an entrepreneur. When I was little, I used to play like I was a business owner. I started my first job at 12 years old and have been working ever since. At 13, I would accessorize a swimming suit with jewelry for my birthday party, and I raised enough money to fund the party. My mother always encouraged and supported me to do good, have my own business, and be independent at a younger age.
