Hi Gee, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Gee Slab, born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee, is a prominent figure in the city’s hip-hop scene. He began honing his craft at the age of eight and has since developed into a versatile artist known for his distinctive style and lyrical prowess. 

Over the years, Gee Slab has released several notable tracks, including “I Can’t Lose,” “Back Against the Wall,” and “Dance Hall.” His music often reflects personal experiences and challenges, resonating with a diverse audience. 

Beyond his solo endeavors, Gee Slab is a co-founder of Six One Tribe, a collective that showcases and supports local talent in Nashville. He is also associated with the moniker B.I.N.O., an acronym for “Believe In New Opportunity,” which represents both his personal philosophy and the name of his lifestyle brand and multimedia company. 

Gee Slab’s contributions have been instrumental in elevating Nashville’s hip-hop community, earning him recognition from platforms such as VIBE, The Nashville Scene, and NPR. His commitment to authenticity and innovation continues to inspire both fans and fellow artists. 

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No road worth traveling is smooth.

I’ve been homeless twice and attempted suicide through my journey. Adjusting becoming a father in my reels twenties was tough as well.

I had to learn to take responsibility for the losses to learn to how to win for others

I enjoy the grit and and pride Nashville’s possess. We are honary(Nashville talk) and we really lift each other up

I hate the systemic racism embedded in the power dynamics of the city.
