Daily Inspiration: Meet Gianna Minichiello

Today we’d like to introduce you to Gianna Minichiello

Hi Gianna, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started music professionally when I was 15, I had posted a cover of Creep by Radiohead on YouTube and it got attention of a song writer in Atlanta Georgia and I went and recorded in the studio for the first time ever and decided after that I wanted to make music! I learned how to play guitar and started gigging all over SW Florida for years as well as making my own music! I’ve been blessed to work with Grammy award winning producers and talented musicians over the years recording and doing live shows with as well as playing festivals! I decided in October 2023 in two months span of time to move to Nashville, and I’ve been here for a year now, it’s the best choice I’ve made!

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I’m very thankful to my mom and dad for supporting me throughout my music career because yes it does have struggles. You create wear and tear doing gigs and a day job to support your dream. You run into people in the industry that don’t have your best interests in mind, people just after the money. Burn out is very easy to obtain if you aren’t creating the kind of art you want, it took years for me to finally find my sound. But I’m very lucky my dad has helped me and protected me along the way as my booking agent, my manager, my sound guy, even as my body guard!

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I specialize in singing, I’m known for my raspy Stevie nicks Janis jopplin type voice and I feel that sets me apart from others! I’m very proud of my music that I release into the world, my song “Dearly Loved” that I released in 2020 blew up and sits right now on Spotify at over 2.5 Million streams! It blew my mind when it first hit 100k and I can’t believe how far it’s come and how many people love my song! I’m very thankful.

I also have a day job doing eyelash extensions that I started in high school! Ive been doing it now almost 8 years

We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
Majority of my songs I write they’re about random things or situations I make up! Sometimes I do write about personal experiences but it’s a handful of songs
