Daily Inspiration: Meet Jade Griffin

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jade Griffin

Hi Jade, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I started my business back in 2018 after creating a vlog for my friends’ engagement photoshoot. I absolutely fell in love with being behind the camera thus The Vi-Vid Experience was born. At the time, I was only focused on being a videographer but when Covid happened, I made a decision to teach myself how to be a photographer as well as continuing with my videography journey. With the help of some of the best in the city: Drae Brown, Chanitra Dreher, Laquest Ware, etc. I was able to take my business to great heights. We’re now in 2025 and I’ve been able to do things with my company I would have never dreamed of, and I’m only going to do more with the grace of God.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It hasn’t been smooth by a long shot. Definitely have bit off more than I could chew, and had to truly learn how to slow down, let God have His way, and walk through the obstacles with dignity. The most I have dealt with was imposter syndrome and I’m glad to say that I have overcome that. I’ve encountered way too many wins to let the few losses make me forget who I am and I owe it all to God for pulling me out of that place.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
So I focus on branding, lifestyle, and events currently in my business. This could range from graduation and birthday shoots to weddings and more recently sporting events such as the Superbowl, NFL Draft, NFL Combine, etc. If it was not for my amazing husband putting my name out there in those type of rooms, I wouldn’t have had these opportunities and I’m so grateful to him and God. I’m most proud of my Superbowl Moments for sure, being able to capture some of the biggest names in the world from Rihanna to Kendrick Lamar, this journey has taught me to not put myself or my talent in a box. My name is truly what you will receive from me, a vivid experience, and I’m grateful I get to continue to share it with the world.

If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
Remaining true to who I am and not letting anyone dim my light is what keeps me going. I come across different people and personalities very often and outside of the photo or video work I do, I want to always make people comfortable, let them know that I can make their vision happen for them, and continue to build lasting relationships as I capture these special moments for them. I truly love what I do.
