Daily Inspiration: Meet Jennifer Briskin

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jennifer Briskin

Hi Jennifer, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My path has been anything but conventional, yet every step has led me to where I am today. I spent over two decades in corporate leadership, coaching executives and creatives in the entertainment industry. As a Chief People Officer and consultant, I worked with Fortune 500 companies, law firms, and entertainment brands, helping leaders develop high-performing teams and bridge the gap between the creative and business worlds. I’ve always had a deep appreciation for creative expression, and throughout my career, I found myself drawn to working with artists, musicians, and actors—people who bring something unique and soulful into the world.

But while I thrived in that space, I couldn’t ignore an even deeper calling. I’ve always been highly intuitive, and over the years, I have immersed myself in energy work, holistic coaching, and personal development. I became a certified Reiki healer and wellness coach, blending my corporate expertise with a more soulful, intuitive approach. In 2023, I launched Listening Tree Healing Studio as a space where creatives could find clarity, alignment, and the energetic tools to thrive—not just in their craft but in their lives. I guide emerging and established talent through everything from clearing creative blocks to navigating career transitions, offering a mix of energy healing, coaching, and career strategy.

What sets my work apart is that I understand both worlds—the structured, fast-paced demands of the industry and the deeply personal, often vulnerable journey of being an artist. Whether I’m leading an energy clearing session, coaching an artist through career decisions, or guiding a group through creative immersion, my goal is always the same: to help people feel seen, supported, and empowered to share their gifts with the world. Listening Tree is more than just a business; it’s a reflection of my lifelong passion—helping creatives step into their fullest potential, both energetically and professionally.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
My path has been anything but conventional, yet every step has led me to where I am today. I spent over two decades in corporate leadership, coaching executives and creatives in the entertainment industry. As a Chief People Officer and consultant, I worked with Fortune 500 companies, law firms, and entertainment brands, helping leaders build high-performing teams and bridge the gap between creativity and business. I thrived in that space, but deep down, I felt a disconnect. While I was helping others succeed, I knew I wasn’t fully aligned with my own deeper calling. I had always been intuitive, drawn to energy work, holistic coaching, and personal transformation. Over the years, I immersed myself in those practices, becoming a certified Reiki healer and wellness coach.

Eventually, I knew I had to make a change. Listening Tree Healing Studio was born from that realization—a space where creatives could find clarity, alignment, and the energetic tools to thrive, not just in their craft, but in their lives. But stepping into this new chapter wasn’t easy. I walked away from a successful consulting business, one that provided financial stability, credibility, and a clear career path. On paper, it didn’t make sense. I lost clients who didn’t understand why I was pivoting, friends and colleagues who questioned my decision, and even my own sense of security in the transition. Everything shifted—from how I dressed to how I spent my time—because I was no longer conforming to what was expected but instead aligning with what felt true.

There were moments of doubt, wondering if I had made a huge mistake. But resilience isn’t about never questioning yourself—it’s about listening to your more profound truth, even when others don’t understand, even when the path is uncertain. Creativity, healing, and transformation all require us to take risks, to trust in something bigger than ourselves, and to have the courage to follow what feels right before anyone else can see the vision. I had to go through that journey myself to guide others through it. Now, when I work with creatives who feel lost, struggle with imposter syndrome, or fear stepping fully into their talent, I understand their journey on a deeply personal level.

Leaving behind the known for something that truly aligns with your purpose is never easy, but it is always worth it. Today, I can say with certainty that I wouldn’t trade this for anything. My work isn’t just a business—it’s a reflection of who I am, what I believe in, and how I want to show up in the world. And that is the greatest success I could have ever hoped for.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
At Listening Tree Healing Studio, I guide creatives through personal and professional transformation using a unique blend of intuitive coaching, energy healing, and career strategy. My work is deeply rooted in helping artists, musicians, actors, and other creative professionals clear energetic blocks, navigate career transitions, and align fully with their purpose. Whether it’s through one-on-one sessions, group workshops, or immersive coaching experiences, my approach is both spiritual and practical—bridging the inner work of personal growth with the outer work of thriving in the entertainment industry.

I specialize in helping emerging and established creatives find clarity, confidence, and resilience in a world that often undervalues their unique gifts. Many of the people I work with come to me feeling stuck—whether creatively, emotionally, or professionally. Some are navigating industry burnout, some are struggling with imposter syndrome, and others are at a crossroads, unsure of their next step. Through tools like Reiki, Emotion Code energy clearing, Human Design, intuitive guidance, and mindset coaching, I help them move past limiting beliefs and reconnect with their creative flow.

What sets me apart is that I deeply understand both the creative and business sides of the entertainment industry. Before launching Listening Tree, I spent over 25 years coaching executives, creatives, and leadership teams at Fortune 500 companies and major entertainment brands. I know what it takes to stand out, to build a career, and to navigate the often unpredictable path of a creative profession. But I also know that talent alone isn’t enough—your energy, mindset, and alignment play just as big of a role in your success as your skills do. That’s where my work comes in. I provide a space where creatives can clear resistance, strengthen their intuition, and step into their fullest potential—not just in their careers, but in their lives.

One of the things I’m most proud of is creating a judgment-free, soulful space where creatives feel seen, supported, and empowered. I’ve worked with hundreds of artists, songwriters, musicians, and actors who have gone on to book major opportunities, launch their careers, and most importantly, step into their artistry with confidence and authenticity. I’m also proud of the free and low-cost resources I provide to emerging creatives who may not have access to traditional coaching or mentorship. My work is about more than just individual success—it’s about helping artists trust in their unique journey, develop resilience, and create from a place of true alignment.

At the end of the day, Listening Tree Healing Studio isn’t just about energy healing or coaching—it’s about helping creatives thrive in a way that feels authentic, fulfilling, and energetically aligned. And for me, there’s nothing more rewarding than watching someone step fully into their power, own their gifts, and share their creativity with the world.

Any big plans?
The future feels wide open, and I’m embracing this season of change and possibility. Right now, I’m in the process of figuring out where I truly want to be. After 30 years in Atlanta, I’m feeling the pull to spend more meaningful time in Nashville, where I already have a place but am exploring new spaces that feel like home. At the same time, I’ve always been deeply connected to Southern California, and I’m considering how I might spend more time there as well. It’s a time of transition, and I’m giving myself the space to explore what feels most aligned for this next chapter.

On the business side, I have something exciting in the works—I’m launching another venture later this year, also centered around creatives. It’s still hush-hush for now, but I can say that it will expand on my mission of supporting emerging talent. Entrepreneurship is in my blood, and I love creating spaces that empower others. At the same time, I’m continuing to grow my expertise, currently working toward my certification in Human Design, which will add another layer to my work at Listening Tree Healing Studio. I believe we should never stop learning, growing, and evolving, and this certification is part of that journey.

Personally, I’m also returning to my own creative passions. Music has always been a part of my life, and I’m considering taking guitar and piano lessons—something I’ve wanted to do for years. Being in Nashville, I’m also drawn to line dancing, yoga, and other ways of immersing myself in creativity, movement, and connection. My list of things I want to explore is long, but that’s how I like it. More than anything, I want to invite more like-minded people into my life—building a community of creatives, healers, and visionaries who share my passions.

This next chapter is about expansion, alignment, and stepping even further into what lights me up. I don’t have all the answers yet, but I’m excited to see where this journey leads.
