Daily Inspiration: Meet Jineen Glover

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jineen Glover

Hi Jineen , so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
In the past I’ve shared that I shaved my head and went gray when my niece was going through cancer. I had 5 weeks of roots grown out from my brunette hair that I had then been dyeing for years. I decided to shave my head in honor of her and she’s now cancer free. I donated my hair to Children With Hair Loss and then documented my grow out. I became a proaging silver haired influencer in the process and grew a pretty decent following on instagram where I encourage women to embrace their age, curves and silver hair. I do collaborations and promote products that embrace age and beauty.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has been a pretty smooth road. It has been very freeing to embrace right where I am in this moment. It is also very freeing to be free from hair dye and to be happy with what age I am at and what it is like living in my own skin.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I do collaborations with companies promoting products embracing age. I also encourage women to embrace where they are at and give beauty and makeup tips and tricks that go well with silver hair! I’m proud of living as my authentic self and I think what sets me apart is just trying to be myself and be ok right where I am in this space. I’m happy being 49, being alive and healthy and being me! I have a big project coming up in the near future that is a secret, but can’t wait to share eventually! Stay tuned:)

We’re always looking for the lessons that can be learned in any situation, including tragic ones like the Covid-19 crisis. Are there any lessons you’ve learned that you can share?
To not take life, health or others for granted! To take advantage of each opportunity and live the best life I can because life is too short!
