Today we’d like to introduce you to Jineen Marie Glover.
Jineen Marie, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I shaved my head for my niece going through cancer and donated my hair to Children With Hair Loss in 2018. I documented my grow out and ended up becoming a proaging silver haired influencer on Instagram. I then met my business partner at a Silver Sisterhood Retreat and we decided to create a first of its kind app and tracker for women to help guide them on their journey to going gray! We just launched July 7th! It’s called The Silvering Sage-available on Apple and/or Google Play.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Shaving my head was easy, but the grow out wasn’t always easy:)
Creating a first of its kind app was definitely not easy either as there are a lot of bumps along the way to figure out how to create an app. Luckily our app developers were amazing and helped guide us through!
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a content creator who celebrates aging and a silver haired influencer. I love to show women that going gray is really a Glow-Up and I have a Glow-Up Guide I offer women to help them on their silver haired journey. I love to show all the colors that look fabulous with silver hair as well and promote color with your silver hair! I am also a singer on the side and looking to get back into that as well:) And…now I’m a cofounder of an app called The Silvering Sage-a first of its kind App created by two women in their 50’s!
Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
Just keep moving and showing up! Consistency is key to creating a following and don’t be afraid to grow and chase dreams that might seem out of your reach! You can do things you never would have imagined!
