In 2025, he was named Songwriter of the Month at Nashville’s legendary Bluebird Café for his song Congo Cowboyand earned the prestigious Golden Pick Award. He made his Bluebird debut in 2024, sharing the stage with four-time Grammy-winning songwriter Josh Kear writer of (Need You Now – Lady A) and has performed alongside Zack Kale, songwriter for country artist Ella Langley and producer at Sony Music.

I’m from the Democratic Republic of Congo, where over 30 million people have died in a silent genocide. Many children were taken and forced to become child soldiers. I was one of the few who escaped. I came to America as a refugee, carrying the memories of my friends who didn’t survive – including my friend Rafiki. I wrote “Congo Cowboy” to honor them – the millions of children and people we lost. They are the true Congo Cowboys. Now I live in Nashville, a city of cowboys, surrounded by music, hope, and freedom. am not fighting with guns, and I am not running for my life anymore. am riding with hope, healing, and love, carrying the stories of my people in every song sing.
