Today we’d like to introduce you to John Penland
Hi John, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I grew up working in Corporate America, mostly in IT services. Working for larger companies I found that, over time, customer service would degrade as customers were no longer valuable to the corporations. I knew I could do better and help provide top-notch service for the entirety of the customer relationship. I started InfoTech in 2012 with this mission in mind. I quickly made progress in the healthcare space, eventually spreading to other industry types. Today we serve over 12 different industries as a Nashville premier MSP company.
The success of our company has been directly related to the passion and care that our team delivers every single day to our customers. Our goal is to continue to grow as Nashville’s top MSP company and continue to help our customer’s stay operational and safe in this digital age. We are problem solvers, simply put, and we don’t give up until it’s resolved.
The best part of our every day is that we have an opportunity to provide our customers with a great experience. This in turn has created “Raving Fans” in our great community. We could not have been as successful without the love and support of that community. The Williamson County Chamber of Commerce has been a huge help with our success early on and continues to be a great resource for us to leverage in the community.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I think it’s safe to say that every entrepreneur struggles in the beginning when we’re trying to figure everything out. It’s like drinking from a fire hose every day. With great leaders in our community to help coach and guide us, we then can shift those struggles into smoother roads and focus on growth vs surviving. Once we reach this point in our journey we can then start focusing on long term goals and really making a positive difference in the community. I definitely did not get to this point on my own. I was blessed to have great friends, mentors, coaches and business leaders help me get on the right path early on.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
At the core of our business, we are an MSP and provide our customers with a large variety of IT related services. Some of those services are cybersecurity, network support and phone system management, just to name a few. We specialize in small businesses in all industry types. At InfoTech, we focus on delivering outstanding customer experiences. The care and quality we put into our customers sets us apart from the competition. That’s why we are known for our customer service and quality team members.
I am most proud of my team and all the hard work they have put into this amazing company. They are a great example of team work, compassion and expertise in our industry. Our white glove solutions allow for customers to focus on what they do best and let us handle the rest.
What makes you happy?
I get the most joy in life out of helping others. Whether it’s family, friends, customers, team members or neighbors. I love helping people in any way I can. That’s one of the many reasons I chose to start InfoTech.
More than helping others, I most value spending time with my family. Without their love and support, none of this would be possible.
To recharge my soul, I love to travel and spend time outdoors. In the winter, my wife and I ski which is one of the best experiences I’ve ever had! Being on top of the mountains provides a certain level of joy that you just have to experience to truly understand.
