Daily Inspiration: Meet Judea Edwards

Today we’d like to introduce you to Judea Edwards.

Hi Judea, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
It kind of started as a casual conversation, honestly. Jacob, my partner, is a full-time travel photographer and we’ve worked together a lot over the years creating content for different brands. One day we were just talking about ways I could make more money doing something I actually enjoy, and he offered to teach me more about photography. I half-jokingly said, “I wish I could just come be your content girl for a wedding,” and we both kind of paused like, wait… I could actually do that. At the time, we didn’t even know it was a real thing, so we thought we had come up with this brilliant, groundbreaking idea (we were so proud of ourselves, haha). But once we looked into it, we realized it was still super new to most people and not a lot of folks were doing it in a way that felt elevated and natural. So I decided to go for it and turn it into a real business. It’s been the best decision

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I would say the after wedding highs are hard even tho it’s a high, you want to do more and post more content and build up your business but it takes time and keeping a positive mindset that the next one will come! I’m just not very patient

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I create social-ready wedding content—short-form video and candid moments captured throughout the day, made for sharing and reliving right away. I’m there capturing the soft, real moments—the energy of getting ready, the details, the laughs, the little things that make the day feel personal and alive. I focus on telling the story in a way that feels effortless, modern, and intimate.

People say I bring a really calming and kind energy, which means a lot to me. I’m there to document, not direct, so I try to blend in and make people feel comfortable just being themselves. It’s like having a friend with a camera, which I think is what makes the content feel so natural.

I’m proud that I’ve created something that feels aligned with who I am—creative, thoughtful, and people-centered. What sets me apart is my background in brand content and wellness, so I bring that same sense of storytelling, emotion, and beauty into every wedding. And working alongside Jacob, who’s an incredible photographer, we’ve developed such a good rhythm—it really helps create a calm and seamless experience for the couple.

Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
