Today we’d like to introduce you to Justin Brown.
Hi Justin, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
A few years after I finished my studies in film. I’ve been in the Nashville are for 3 years now. I’ve been writing for over seven years, specializing in narrative fiction and world-building. I brought that strength here with me to Nashville to help make my way in the rising film scene. Since I’ve been in Nashville, I’ve built strong connections with many individuals in the film community and started my production company. Imagistorm Productions is led by myself and my partner Allie Fussell, thriving on the collaborative efforts and the talent of the people we’ve built those strong relationships with. Our endeavors include a multitude of short films, a few features, and producing a TV show called, “The Acsendants”.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It hasn’t always been a smooth road, no, it’s actually been quite the challenge at times. Moving to a new city where I started off knowing absolutely nobody was the first hurdle. But I quickly took to the same avenues I followed when I was in New York and started building my network up. Once that happened it was just a matter of fostering those connections and persevering in a tough industry.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I specialize in writing first and foremost. I’ve spent years honing my talents in that field, while actively acting on camera and participating behind. What sets me apart the most is my ability to dive full force into my imagination and build out intricate worlds and design them to an extreme amount of detail.
So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
What matters most to me is family and building strong bonds with friends as well as colleagues. Success is great and all, but it’s very circumstantial. Everyone defines it differently, and for me, I see it as having meaningful connections all around me. I love my family, I love my friends, and I love creating. For me, life is nothing without love. You have to love what you do and who you do it with.
