Today we’d like to introduce you to Kelli Holland.
Hi Kelli, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I got opened Joyful Bites in March of 23 after a lot of push from my husband & close friends. I had 2 young kids & loved being a stay at home mom, but I also wanted to do more for my family.
Growing up, I spent a lot of time with my nana & mom learning to cook. Baking was something they often did to love on those in our church & community. So many of my classic recipes came from them.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road. There are some weeks I am fully booked up & I have to turn people away. While other weeks are very slow. I am a one woman show, so sometimes, things get difficult. Being a baker, you also deal with all types of personalities.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am mostly known for classic cakes & cupcakes. Just in the last year, I have added cookie cakes onto my menu. I strive for delicious tasting cakes & the yummiest icing.
Are there any books, apps, podcasts or blogs that help you do your best?
I love watching other bakers succeed. There are several famous baker influencers I enjoy watching to see what hacks they have come up with.
