Today we’d like to introduce you to Kirem Marnett, MAOM.
Hi Kirem, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My journey to founding Peach & Crane began in graduate school while studying Chinese Medicine. The name first came to me when I learned that cranes and peaches often appear together in Chinese art, representing longevity, prosperity, good health, and spiritual growth. This symbolism perfectly captured the essence of what I wanted to create—a successful practice that honored healing as a learning process unifying mind, body and spirit.
The name also holds deep personal significance for me. ‘Crane’ is my middle name and connects me to my family lineage—the Cranes have a documented history in America with a reputation for ‘love of country and upright business principles.’ Meanwhile, the peach initially represented my embrace of the South after relocating to Nashville with my husband, drawn by its fertile ground for new businesses and startups as well as the lure of joining family who had been established here for decades.
I launched my practice in 2014 as an acupuncturist and herbalist, but my path took an unexpected turn when I began experiencing enhanced psychic sight during meditation. Despite my initial resistance, I surrendered to this gift and started seeing spirit animals forming before me. When I began asking questions, I received answers—confirming my clairvoyant abilities. I started offering readings to family and friends, and soon no longer needed to be seated in meditation to access these insights. Starting in 2017 I stepped out professionally, incorporating intuitive readings alongside acupuncture for clients.
As my practice evolved, I noticed a pattern – I was primarily attracting empathic souls. This wasn’t coincidental. As someone identified as an empath since kindergarten, I realized the ‘Peach’ in my business name symbolized Yin—the soft, vulnerable, yet sweet nature many empaths possess. The ‘Crane’ represented Yang—majestic and expansive. It also represented the strength and boundaries empaths need to develop. This realization proved pivotal—I had coincidentally named my business after my own first ‘Soul Signs Couplet’! This then became the template for translating others’ Yin and Yang energies, evolving into what is now my Soul Signs system.
So, what started as a mere business name became a profound spiritual blueprint guiding my work. Today, I offer through Peach & Crane intuitive services including individual readings, relationship alchemy, family readings, and corporate team building – all grounded in this unique Soul Signs system that helps clients understand their Yin and Yang natures, strengths and challenges. Clients consistently report that seeing themselves through this archetypal language helps them embrace both their gifts and areas of growth with greater compassion, leading to more authentic self-expression and harmonious relationships in all areas of life.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The past five years were incredibly tough. Like many small business owners and boutique healing centers, I was forced to shut down my practice in 2020 during the pandemic. At the time, it was unfathomable—I had spent over a decade building toward and establishing a thriving practice serving the community in a multitude of ways, such as producing the Lightwork Awards show and gala, which honored Nashville’s healing arts community in early 2020.
After closing my office in Cool Springs, I was heartbroken to say the least. This sense of loss compounded a year later when I attempted to reopen Peach & Crane in a new location. A dear friend and fellow intuitive, Suzie Kerr Wright, offered me shelter in the form of sharing her office north of Nashville. I started to get my groove back, but soon after experienced another incomprehensible blow when Suzie suddenly passed away unexpectedly at the end of 2021.
In my grief over the loss of an incredible friend and what felt like the now permanent closure of a brick-and-mortar office—and therefore my ability to practice acupuncture—I put down the needles and picked up the pen instead. I threw myself heart and soul into editing, designing and producing content for New Earth Almanac, a new virtual venture. It was a burgeoning publication that included a daily email as well as five, full-color print editions. The Almanac was devoted to picking up where the Lightwork Awards had left off—honoring the healing arts in the written form—and featured more than 60 different contributing writers from all over the world. After 2.5 years of pouring my creative energy into this project, I began to recognize that the universe was consistently guiding me back toward my deeper calling with Soul Signs. This redirection helped me realize that while I loved working with the global healing community and that writing and publishing were valuable skills, my true gift lay in the intuitive work I had temporarily set aside. While the prospect of shutting down felt like yet another heartbreak, by the end of 2023, we made the difficult but ultimately liberating decision to close New Earth Almanac, clearing the path for me to fully recommit to my Soul Signs practice.
2024 as a whole for me was an experience of learning to sit within my circumstances, rest and regroup. The Biblical quote, “Be still and know that I am God” felt like a daily meditation in my complete surrender to who and what I thought I was as a healer and transforming all of my experiences, losses and lessons into spiritual offerings. This path of redirection—familiar to many who experienced the global shifts of 2020—has deepened my empathy and strengthened my resolve in the work I do.
Despite the many challenges, I’m truly grateful for the journey that has brought me to this moment of renewal. Today I’m announcing that Peach & Crane has officially relaunched online (www.peachandcrane.com). I look forward to what lies ahead in this next chapter!
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
As I’ve shared, my work as the founder of Peach & Crane and the unique healing work I am called to do, has been a journey of both surrender and resilience. At its core, I serve as an intuitive soul messenger and third-generation healer, offering a unique system I’ve developed called Soul Signs—a method that translates personal or physical energy into relatable symbols and archetypes drawn from animals, plants, and mythology. I am primarily clairvoyant and claircognizant, but experience all of the “clairs” while reading for others.
The Soul Signs system emerged through my own spiritual awakening and has become the foundation of my practice. Through revealing a person’s Soul Signs Couplet—the two primary signs that define their personality and spirit—I provide clients with a mirror that reflects both their innate strengths and challenges. What began as spirit animal readings has evolved into a comprehensive framework for self-understanding and growth.
I’m most proud of the transformative impact this work continues to have, even as it evolves. Many clients share that their sessions create greater change than years of traditional therapy. There’s something profoundly validating about seeing yourself or others reflected in universal symbols that resonates on a deeper level than conventional approaches. The power of a Soul Signs reading lies in its ability to reflect your essence back to you in symbols that resonate at a soul level, creating transformative recognition that words alone cannot achieve. With couples and groups, I’m proud of the amount of healing possible when we can take a step back and appreciate each other not only for our gifts and strengths, but also for our limitations and areas we are still learning and growing. There is immense grace when we can simply accept someone for who they are through the metaphor and wisdom of the creatures of our planet and their natural environments. For example, we simply cannot expect warm, fuzzy affection from someone whose Soul Sign is a Shark! So when our spirit is able to put that down, really let it go, we gain immense freedom and renewed energy in resetting what’s realistic in our relationships and also allowing total acceptance of “what is” in the present moment. It’s “aha” moments like these for my clients that get me excited to work everyday.
My work isn’t just about telling clients who they are—it’s about walking alongside them with hard-earned wisdom as they discover who they’re meant to become. Whether working virtually or in person, I remain committed to providing intuitive guidance that honors both the struggles and the strengths of the human journey—because I’ve lived both. My path hasn’t been without challenges. What sets my practice apart is not just my training in Chinese Medicine, Reiki, Feng Shui, Kundalini Yoga, and the ups and downs of running my own businesses, but also the authenticity born from navigating them. The Soul Signs system has become more than a modality—it’s a resilient bridge between ancient wisdom and modern life, forged through triumph, heartbreak, and total surrender.
So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?
What the pandemic took away in physical proximity, it gave back in global accessibility. Now offering virtual sessions worldwide, I’m reconnecting with my purpose in new ways. Each connection I make isn’t just business—it’s part of a collective healing journey that transcends individual struggles and reminds us of our shared resilience and capacity for transformation.
People can work with me through several channels at Peach & Crane. For individual growth, I offer Soul Sign readings virtually via Zoom, with options ranging from foundational Soul Sign Couplet readings to annual guidance sessions and focus specialties on creativity, past lives, the workplace and more. Couples and families can experience relationship alchemy through Partner and Group readings that illuminate their unique dynamics. For organizations, I provide team building sessions and intuitive executive coaching that apply Soul Signs wisdom to professional environments. I also offer speaking engagements on topics related to spirituality and personal development. Those interested in learning energy work can join my Reiki workshops that blend clinical instruction with intuitive development. Beyond direct services, I’m also creating digital products like guided journals and meditation libraries that complement live sessions for my clients.
Right now I am looking for assistance in getting the word out about my work—I welcome invitations to be featured at retreats, on podcasts, contribute articles or other creative opportunities to market Soul Signs in order to reach those who I can help. The best ways to connect are through my website at www.peachandcrane.com, joining my mailing list for updates about new offerings, and via email at [email protected]. I can also be found on Instagram @soulsignsbykirem and LinkedIn @kiremmarnett. I look forward to connecting with others interested in discussing how we might collaborate on projects that align with conscious growth and spiritual development as we support the ascension of our planet.
