Daily Inspiration: Meet Lexi Garcia

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lexi Garcia

Hi Lexi, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Since I was little, I have always had a passion for helping people. Whether that be through my future career as a mental health counselor or inspiring people through fashion, beauty & make up, the goal is to make people feel their BEST.

Growing up I always loved fashion and putting a good outfit together.
In high school is when I started to find my passion for make up and all things beauty. Whether it was doing my best friends make up and hair or sending them the latest skin care trends. Always making sure I had lip gloss in my back pack, my locker, my pencil case lol ! Never could go without it.

When I was in college I was always the roommate that my friends wanted me to do their make up, put their hair in rollers, give them all the latest style tips.. and I LOVED IT. It was so fun for me!!

All of that has continued into my adulthood. From helping my family and friends to now being that inspo for others on line, I’m truly so grateful!!

My motto is look good.. feel good. So whether that is putting on a kick ass outfit that makes you feel confident or just trying something new with your make up, I say go for it girl.

Once I started posting more on social media and really gaining a presence on Instagram, I wanted my followers to see what life with Lexi (me) was all about. The good, the stressful, the stylish, the fun, the loving. I wanted them to see it all!

I love putting outfit mood boards together for my friends and family & helping them find their perfect outfit.

I love what I do and I love being able to help other people in any way I can. If I can be an inspiration to someone else to chase their dreams, push themselves out of their comfort zone, and do something for themselves than I’ve done my job.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely has not been a smooth road! Like anything in life we have to overcome those obstacles in order to see how great it is on the other side of our struggles. I have had my fair share of health scares with my severe asthma and food allergies. I have gone through times where dealing with my anxiety has been crippling. And as someone who has struggled with self image, self love and my weight, it has all felt very heavy at times.

I have heard ‘NO” a bunch. Dealing with people who don’t believe in you, want to see you fail and are just waiting for you to mess up. I struggled with my confidence growing up and feeling secure in who I was. Always second guessing or worrying what others would think of me.

As I have gotten older, I truly have fallen in love with me. Not because I always have it all together or do it all perfect, but because of my flaws and my imperfections that make me, me! I am happy with the woman I have turned out to be and how I carry myself.

I have made plenty of mistakes, done things I regret, or wish I could go back and re do. But, honestly who hasn’t in life! That’s what makes us all better versions of ourselves in the long run.

So if you are reading this, let this be a reminder that you GROW through what you GO through!

Remember to lead your life with kindness and give your 100% no matter what! What’s meant for you will never, ever pass you by.. just make sure you’re not the one standing in your own way!

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
As a beauty, fashion and lifestyle influencer I also like to incorporate the mental health side of things into it.
As a graduate student currently, I am almost done studying for my masters degree in clinical mental health counseling.

I am a firm believer that with the right support system, tools, and mindset we can all feel our best.
What I do differently is bring kindness to the table. “BE kind, to yourself, to others, always” That is the saying I live by and that is what sets me apart form other people. I want to genuinely lift one another up and see them succeed. Theres enough room for us all to bring something special without having to tear other people down.

What makes you happy?
ugh I love this question!!!

My parents!!! I would not be who I am without them. They have always been there for me and are always my biggest supporters. From every silly idea to big dream, they have backed me up and motivated me to go for it. They’ve taught me all that I know and are my biggest inspirations. Mom and Dad, there’s no me without you!

Riley, my little sister who has been with me every step of the way, always making me laugh & my biggest fan in all of my adventures.
And Scott, her boyfriend, who has been like a brother to me for all these years. I’m so behind grateful for them both.

Justin, my incredible boyfriend who is so supportive and kind. He always makes me feel so special and loved in every possible way. Everyone deserves a Justin in their life, and I thank God everyday I found mine.

My puppies, Fred and Rosie, there is nothing like coming home to them at the end of a long day!!

My entire family & friends who never, ever fail to show up for me. Every one of them has touched me in some way and has impacted my life.

Some other things that make me happy and I love are being around good people who make you feel good about yourself, i love the fact that old people make me cry because i just think they’re so adorable, I love my family so much. I love the love my parents have for each other after all the years they’ve been together. I love my small circle of friends who genuinely are like family.

I cannot wait to see all that is still ahead for me and where my journey takes me!
