Today we’d like to introduce you to Linda Andersson.
Hi Linda, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
After losing everything in 2020, even my beloved pup Rookie I never thought I would find happiness again but I did. I have always been in the entertainment and hospitality business. Did catering for movies and tv shows for 20 years in Hollywood! But Covid kind of took the fun out of doing catering anymore so decided that now it was time to dive into something else that I have always been interested in and that is Real Estate and Property Management.
I now manage short-term rentals here in Nashville and have been very successful. It’s really the perfect occupation for me. I am in the process of setting up my company now so if you are looking for help with your Airbnb and are in the Gulch, Edgehill, Music Row, or 12 South reach out to me, and let’s talk! www.airbnb.com/h/cozygulchhome
I am also an advocate for pet adoption. 1800 dogs a day are losing their lives in shelters because people choose to buy from breeders instead of adopting from shelters or rescue. Adoption is one of the ways we get that number to zero. One myth is that most dogs are given to shelters because something is wrong with them, such as they’re sick or can’t be trained. Honestly, we don’t often get great information on why dogs are given to shelters. A huge number of them come in as strays or lost dogs, so they’re not given up at all.
Health or behavioral issues can be a reason why people give their pets to shelters, but it’s usually not the only issue.
When pets are surrendered, it’s more often related to human issues like financial or housing challenges or because a litter of puppies was too big for the owner to handle. If there’s a problem with the dog you choose, your shelter should disclose it to you. Also keep in mind that what may be a problem for one family might not be a problem for another family. It could just be that the last home wasn’t a good fit for that particular dog.
I have been rescuing dogs for years and now I dog sit for friends and family as often as I can. My dream one day is to have a big farm, a sanctuary for older and unwanted dogs. If you need help with your pup you can always reach out to me. Contact: Dogs Matter Rescue – VIP Dog Care www.facebook.com/dogsmatterrescue.
And if that’s not enough I also work as an Executive Assistant. I have a couple of clients whom I help with their day-to-day business. I am very organized, tech-savvy, and love paperwork and after having my own business for years it comes easy to me to do all this stuff that sometimes a new business owner doesn’t have time to deal with. Please reach out to me if you need help with day-to-day stuff. I would be happy to help!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I love a challenge. There is something beautiful about encountering obstacles and finding ways to overcome them. It provides a deeper concentration and a greater sense of calmness and happiness.
I love this quote: “It’s supposed to be hard. If it were easy, everyone would do it.”
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
My dad, who is now deceased, is absolutely my inspiration for becoming an entrepreneur. He taught me that anything is possible at a very young age — you need to work hard and believe in yourself. This belief has empowered me throughout my entire life, which fuels me now more than ever as an entrepreneur. As a kid, I grew up watching him work hard for what he earned and helping others along the way.
He taught my older siblings and me that you can always achieve anything if you put your mind to something and dream big. No one will give you anything unless you work for it -so follow your dreams, and the money will come. He taught me that we only have one go-round in this life, and we should aspire to make a difference, no matter what field of interest I eventually pursued. My dad did some amazing things in his life. My dad has been the root of my drive and inspiration to become an entrepreneur. He always inspired me to think, dream and plan as big as possible and not take no for an answer.
I moved from Sweden to America when I was 21 years old. I have been to every state except 4 and I have driven cross country 12 times! I lived in Los Angeles for 20 years and NY, NJ for 4 years, and now been in Nashville for about 4 years. I love Nashville.
