Daily Inspiration: Meet Livio Ramondelli

Today we’d like to introduce you to Livio Ramondelli.

Hi Livio, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
I’m a professional freelance illustrator living in LA after receiving my Masters’s degree in San Francisco at the Academy of Art University.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been smooth?
Though deadlines and hard work are essential, I’ve been fortunate to have a steady job as a freelancer. I always tell people if they’d like to do what they love for a career, be sure to take it as seriously and work as hard as with any other field.

Thanks – so, what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m most known for illustrating Transformers comic books and creating the original science fiction series The Kill Lock for IDW Publishing. I’m fortunate to visit countries worldwide, exhibiting at comic book conventions.

Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
I’ve been very fortunate to have teachers I could look up to and, later on, professional colleagues who treated me as an equal despite having far more experience than me! That meant a lot to me, and I hope to pass it along to the younger professionals I meet.
