Daily Inspiration: Meet Mose Wilson

Today we’d like to introduce you to Mose Wilson.

Hi Mose, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Here’s my bio:
Mose Wilson is a dynamic artist whose music weaves together the rich traditions of roots, country, and Americana with vibrant threads of soul, funk, rock & roll, and bluegrass. Hailing from a lineage that marks him as the first traditional musician in his family, Mose began his musical journey at the tender age of six, strumming his first guitar and leading hymns in church. This early exposure to music ignited a passion for songwriting, deeply influenced by legendary artists such as Hank Williams, Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, and Muddy Waters.

With a distinctive sound that reflects life’s complexities—from love and heartbreak to the philosophical musings of existence—Mose’s music resonates with authenticity and depth. His thought-provoking lyrics explore themes of hard work, the nightlife, and the poignant realities of family and mortality.

As a skilled guitarist, songwriter, and producer, Mose has collaborated with notable artists like Melissa Carper, Hannah Juanita, Sweet Megg, and The Waymore’s , further enriching his musical tapestry.

Mose released his latest album, “That’s Love,” on July 17, 2025, and has been touring nationally and internationally in support of the record bringing his heartfelt storytelling and soulful melodies to audiences across the globe.

Join Mose Wilson on this musical journey and experience the heartfelt connection that comes from a life lived through music.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
You only learn from failure. So I’ve learned a thing or two because of all the times things didn’t work out. I’ve been working in this business since I was 16 and had many bands come and go. Several were very successful but in the e end fell apart. Now I just make sure I work hard and like the work I have. I love touring and writing, I love producing other artists and helping them find their sound. I love working with my fiancé Hanna Juanita and touring with her and I’m always creating new music to be released into the wild.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Always the most proud of my most recent work. I reaped an album last year titled “That’s Love” with an incredible Nashville cast of players on the record. I have also released 3 duets with Hannah Juanita this year and have a Don Williams tribute in the works for release this fall. It’s been a very busy year.

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
Playing good music and working hard at what I love makes me happy. I also like to go see horror movies in the theater, whether new or old ones getting a re-release. I also love trail running and all exercise in general. My parents were both athletes and I grew up in that world and still enjoy it. I bring a weigted vest and a kettle bell with me on tour just to stay active and consistent. It’s not easy to do living this life.
