Today we’d like to introduce you to Natalie Hager.
Hi Natalie, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.

Natalie Hager, owner and principal interior designer of Natalie Hager Interiors, works within four words — function, beauty, order, and story. She crafts spaces that work for you, striking a balance between functionality and beauty to ultimately celebrate who you and your family are. Whether designing a home from inception to completion or refurbishing an existing home, she pours passion and precision into every project.
Graduating with honors from Vanderbilt University in both French and writing, Natalie discovered her love of scenery and setting above all and views the world in color, architecture, and artisanal pieces. Instead of pursuing publishing jobs, she immediately jumped into an interior design program at the leading design school in the United States, Parsons School of Design in NYC, and never looked back. After helping design hospitality spaces and later partnering with a residential firm, Natalie started her own design firm in 2009.
She has completed projects from NYC to Lake Tahoe and had the great pleasure of working with the Property Brothers team as their lead designer while they filmed in Nashville for two seasons. Many publications feature her work, including Luxe Interiors + Design, The Wall Street Journal, and The Design Network.
Setting roots in Nashville, she treasures her faith, her family, and her friends. Whether spending time with her husband, chasing her three children, traveling, or working through a new project, she loves to seek beauty and live out her good story.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
My business was born during a recession. I’ve birthed 3 children and adopted 2 dogs since it launched. It survived (and thrived!) during COVID (even with me being case #5 with Covid in Tennessee). It made it through when my children’s school was victim to a mass school shooting and it grew my team closer as well as the interior design community in Nashville as I needed support greater than my own. To say that being in business for almost two decades has been easy would be a lie, but thanks be to God who is in control of it today as much as He was when it started.

What if your home told your story?
I started Natalie Hager Interiors in 2009 with that vision in mind. I like to think of our team of interior designers as interior storytellers who celebrate and honor your past, present, and future, bringing together a home that welcomes and rejuvenates you. When you return there day after day, your curated collection of furnishings, colors, and materials will inspire you to live life fully.
To accomplish this, we create a concept statement that guides the project, ensuring that we deliver the most tailored design for our clients. Whether we’re conceptualizing a room, accessorizing a coffee table, or selecting artwork for an empty wall, the project comes together best when our hands and hearts are in all design aspects from beginning to end.

How do you think about luck?
I don’t believe in luck (good or bad) but God who has carefully crafted everything. I have found that the times in my business when I’ve tried harder that those are the times when running my business has felt more like work and not thrived. It’s the times when I surrender and pray, asking God to lead my work that I truly have thrived and my work has been very good.

- I price all work individually, so I don’t have any pricing that I offer online as the work ranges drastically depending on the project. However, I’ve recently become an interior designer with TALD offering virtual design work where you’ll see my pricing.
