Hi Nick, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?

Nick Polito is a full-time Americana singer-songwriter former coal miner from southwestern Pennsylvania, approaching four years of dedication to the music industry. With a powerful voice and authentic storytelling, Nick has opened for renowned artists such as Tracy Byrd, Diamond Rio, The Clarks Trio, Scott Blasey, and Dave Pahanish, reflecting the respect he’s earned in the Americana and country music scenes.
Nick currently has four singles available to fans. His latest release, “True North,” marks his first collaboration with acclaimed producer and three-time No. 1 Billboard songwriter Dave Pahanish. Released on July 17th, this track represents a new chapter in Nick’s career as he travels regularly between his home base and Nashville to co-write and record songs with Dave, pursuing a full album project.
Working alongside Dave Pahanish has been a pivotal experience, providing Nick with invaluable mentorship and production expertise, and helping him hone a polished, contemporary sound while staying true to his Americana roots. With aspirations to secure either a publishing deal or label signing, Nick is actively building his career through consistent collaborations and performances.

I’m smaller words, I always wanted to play music my whole life but never believed in myself enough to take the leap. My grandmother Polito was my musical inspiration, we always listened to music from the time I was a very little kid, she had me singing fluent Italian at the age of 8. So after almost ten years of coal mining, I took the leap into a full time career in music in August of 2021. Since then it has grown almost to the point of being overwhelmed with gigs, right in the beginning of my career I hit Dave Pahanish up on Facebook not thinking he would even respond to me but he did, many years ago I met Dave at a friends highschool graduation party when I was 17 years old way before I even really knew how to play guitar, Dave messaged me back and it was my first trip to Nashville to get the experience of it and he sent me his address, from then on we have developed a great friendship and did a few gigs together back here in our hometown. Dave is from my area in PA. After a few years of hanging out we decided to work together in late February of 2025. Since then we have tracked seven songs and a few more on the way to complete the album, Dave had three number one billboards he go wrote Jimmy Wayne-do you believe me now, Toby Keith- American Ride and Keith Urban- Without You. I’m from a small town called Hopwood in Pennsylvania.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Some of the struggles along the way have been the first few months of the year I struggle to stay busy with gigs. Mentally it’s a struggle as well especially after working six to seven days a week for the last decade, so financially it gets tough and my parents have talked me off the ledge of quitting many time because once I decide to quit then something big takes place. I also drove myself crazy with trying to make land bigger gigs and land more positive exposure such as getting my songs played on the radio.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
What I’m most proud of is how far my music career has come in just four short years. I feel my sound and vocals set me apart from others and have a story to tell raw and emotional.
