Hi Page, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Originally I’m from Huntsville Alabama & studied photography at Sparkman Highschool for 6 semesters, college brought me to Tennessee where I became a full time student and was looking for part time work I could be really happy doing and landed a job facepainting at a nation wide corporation. My time there I learned everything I know now from my former manager & best friend Stephanie! Steph moved on to bigger and better things and i eventually decided it was time to go home to Alabama.
Upon returning home I decided to transition into the cosmetology world. During my 1500 hour journey I felt pulled back to painting faces! So Pampered and Painted was born. It’s been over 3 years since my very first independent gig and every day I wake up proud and thankful to know no matter where life takes me people are excited to wear my art. My community wears my art and I get to see the pure joy and instant gratification every time I pick up a (hair or paint!) brush!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
My community has supported me every step of the way, My grandma helped me build my original set up piece by piece, my best friend cheered me on every step of the way and when I put my mind to something my mom has always been there to back me!
I’ve had generally smooth sailing and nothing but positivity from the day I created pampered and painted!
The hardest part is being my own worst critic you know!
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a Facepainter and fully licensed cosmetologist as well as a full time commercial photography student!
I specialize in creating rainbows on your skin or hair! I specialize in birthdays, community events ect!
I provide cosmetic grade skin safe painting services, safe for sensitive skin and easy to remove, when booking with me you’re not booking just an artist you’re booking a licensed beauty professional. Someone who cares about cross contamination and someone with over 1500 hours of training And over a year of experience making you and your guests look and feel your best in my chair!
