Today we’d like to introduce you to Renee Hayes.
Hi Renee, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
In December of 2018, Kelley’s job relocated us to Atlanta, Georgia. We had recently purchased a fifth wheel toy hauler to start camping again on weekends as empty nesters. Instead of purchasing a home in Georgia we made the decision to sell &/or donate everything and move into our fifth wheel toy hauler. We have been living fulltime & traveling the country in our RV for 6 years.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Kelley can fix or repair just about anything. That is definitely a must for making fulltime RV living on the road manageable. Things will break. Repairs will be needed.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Kelley retired 3 years ago at 55. He does contract work, works the harvest season for farmers and heavy equipment work in the summer. Renee handles our social media accounts for @fiftyandfifthwheeling writes articles for magazines and manages collaborations with companies. We love to share our life on the road, travel information, maintenance and repairs required on RVs. We love that we are able to share product, travel & maintenance information with our followers and answer any questions for those thinking of making the move to living fulltime in an RV.
Are there any books, apps, podcasts or blogs that help you do your best?
Our favorite RV apps to help with travel planning are: Open Roads, Harvest Hosts, Campendium, RV Life, TripAdvisor, HipCamp and ChatGPT.
