Daily Inspiration: Meet Robin Nordstrom

Today we’d like to introduce you to Robin Nordstrom.

Hi Robin, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
It started in 2003 when my wife saw a need for a safe and secure place for artists to keep their drinks while playing on stage. Our first build was for Gary Allan at the Austin Rodeo. We integrated the drink holder design with the artist’s logo for display while clamped onto the mic stand during their live show. We worked with many Texas artists while living in the LoneStar State, & continue to work with countless TX artists.  Since moving to Middle Tennessee in the summer of 2018, we’ve enjoyed working with a wide array of local and national artists, as well as countless venues to assist with their branding. We look forward to continuing to work with musicians in all genres & venues to create their unique custom drink holders as well as other stage branding products and merchandise items.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Smooth as any start-up business.  There are always challenges & lessons, but with providing such a unique & durable product, the word of mouth & testmonials from the customers have definitely made the process smoother than most.  The bumps and hurdles are part of the journey and excitement of business ownership.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Along with our custom metal artwork, we also provide other miscellaneous merchandise items, i.e., shirts, hats, keychains, lanyards, metal wall art, etc. We take a tremendous amount of pride in the quality of our products as well as our client relations. We work together to get to know each client and make their design and build unique and personal. Along with growing the business, our goal is to ensure each client is as excited about their product as we are to create it as well as being a part of this wonderful community.

What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
The growth of Nashville does not appear to be slowing down and with that growth will come more music lovers and artists with more opportunities to expand the business.  We have clients in NY, NC, SC, CA & many other states, including Italy, but would love to reach more genres, artists, & venues.
