Today we’d like to introduce you to Sarah Tuck.
Hi Sarah, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started in May 2014, in my hometown of Franklin, Kentucky, writing plays with one of the co-writers out of my community. We were able to make a hit from the beginning of our first time. What do I mean by this is, we were able to grace the audience with a performance that captivated their interest into charming them. They loved the show so well that we received a standing ovation from this group of people. Yes, after the performance was finished, this crown of people raised to their feet and started yelling and clapping for the artwork that had been performed before their very eyes that night. It was that breath taking moment in seeing and hearing all the commotion that was going on while standing on stage looking out into the audience. That night was a night to remember. I was even more intrigued, when my co-writer announced that she was clipping my wings later that night, all because she said, “You are going to do fine, if I see you falling from the nest, I will pick you up and put you back in. But again, you are going to do fine.”
I continued from there each year recruiting and performing a play for the next 3 years, only to understand what my co-writer was telling me. She knew that she was only supposed to help me start on the right path and the rest was left up to me, and from that day forward I’ve never let her down. By going through the different phase in my life of writing books, writing for my Podcast show called The Simply Sarah Show, movies, magazine articles, and now I’m writing music for my very first song. I decided to write my own music for my television series that I’ve developed for my new and upcoming show. The show will be called The Wild Wild South and the music is called Wild Wild South. I didn’t know at the time that I would be the one rapping the song, at least not until I heard a voice from one of my cast members say, why don’t you sing the song. I was overwhelmed in hearing him suggest me to do my own project. It was at this very moment I could see that he could see my worth. There was something he saw in me that I didn’t see myself. This gave me the inspiration and determination to move forward with this project. Now it looks like I’ve made a hit.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No, I can’t say that it’s been a smooth road for me. Honestly, there were times I had struggles, and I had many disappointments along the way. Mostly in people who I thought had my back. This has kept me on my feet though for everything that I’ve had to face. Being who I am with a strong constitutional mind, has given me the steps in being able to deal with the blows and punches that some people has thrown at me along the way. I will always believe that God knew what I could take before he gave me this gift, and in believing in this. This has made me stronger and wiser person that I am today and has prepared me for the road that is coming ahead of me.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I found myself moving into a category that I was comfortable with and very familiar with since I had acted a few years back. Or at least this is how I felt about it. I was already performing in front of an audience, writing stories and telling them. So, I decided to write scripts for my show and interview people to let them talk about themselves. This gave me more confidence in what I was doing, and it showed me how to broaden my different styles of art and take it to another level. Not only was I doing that I was also meeting new people with such great talents, I was able to relate too. I feel like I have established and accumulated friends as well as some intriguing people. They were full of life and had amazing stories to share with the world. I was honored to be able to give them the opportunity to share their experiences.
Me being who I am, I’ve always wanted to experience as many things as possible that I can while I’m on my creative writing journey, and in doing so I have discovered a hidden gem that is rarely used.
I’ve decided to take my creative art journey to a different level. While mentioning this to one of the cast members that I had written a song for the television 📺 series. I was looking for someone to sing it for me. When suddenly he looked at me and said why don’t you sing it? I was shocked to see that he could see my worth. Something that I had within myself that I couldn’t see myself. I’ve been told many times I’ve always second-guessed myself. So, I just decided to move forward and give it a try and now that I did, I haven’t regretted it. Lady B has arrived y’all and she’s being all that she can be. Oh, and if you like the song Wild Wild South, you’re going to love watching the upcoming show that will be coming out in about a couple more months called “The Wild Wild South.”
This will be shown on Comcast out of Nashville, Tennessee on the Necat Network on the three channels that they have which are 19, 9, and 10. Don’t forget to mark your calendar for around that time so you will not miss seeing it.
How do you think about happiness?
Touching other people lives with my creative artwork makes me happy. Once I saw how the audience were responding to my plays, set me off. Meaning that I was amazed in the power of God moving in my life to share this great experience that I was having with the world. This is when I knew why I was put in the position that I was in. I had been placed here at the right time and the right place for a reason, and I was beginning to see it developing right before my very eyes.
